There's already a way to fast forward conversations. You can literally skip through all story content in under 5 minutes.
There's even a way to disable the narrative altogether, though admittedly that's less obvious.
But there were people complaining that the game needs a save system after an update that said the save system was improved, so I don't fucking know.
Well maybe it's not clear or new, last time I played I didn't see one but that was admittingly a while ago. If that's the case then I don't know what the complaining is about. I'll see for myself about to do another run I guess.

Depressing. I appreciate the honesty I guess, but to call my game cryptic garbage and then to pretend you care about the gameplay is incredibly disingenuous.
Though I disagree on all accounts, clearly a lot of people share your opinion.
I'll refrain from posting unnecessary updates.
I apologize that i was a bit verbose, and you misunderstood my point, to rephrase it better- i LOVE the cryptic bits, it's why i am being honest with things even though it's disheartening, what i hate is the school bits, where there is no puzzles or interaction variety, like i said- they are making the game worse in their current state. Doesn't matter if people enjoy the narrative or not, the fact that they are both mandatory and devoid of variety is what kills it.
Anecdotally:
I lost my save file between the updates, and having to replay the same thing where i am locked off by countless invisible walls, having to go through the same motions for half an hour(yes, with message skip) before I'm let into the freeroam mode only to discover that with all the dialogue you piled on you failed to explain that the dreams you get now depend on your stats, locking me into a dream you get from low health that feels like "this is the end of the demo" as the FIRST dream did not leave a good impression, i wouldn't be suprised if a lot of new players experience something to the same degree, you promise Yume Nikki, but that game starts by throwing you in to freeroam first, and never pulls you out of it,wich is what arguably made it so popular, it's abstract and liberating.
I'm not an industry veteran, but from my humble 6 years of gamedev experience, i would suggest one of three options to go with:

1.Skip scene button, by far the easiest one and the least involved, nobody is going to blame you for implementing it,and you get to make the rest of the game the way you wanted it without any real need for change outside of that.
2.Make the school segments memories you have to find. Not only is that more engaging for players and more in line with the Yumme Nikki style of gameplay, it also will draw them in more since it will require investigating to piece everything together, you can do a lot with that, especially in terms of deception and omission of information.Moreover- this will allow people who already seen it or just came to a porn game for porn to skip out on them with no detriment
3.Make the school segments interactive. Throughout all the cutscenes my first and preveiling thought was "what if i just left?" and the games answer always was the very artificial "i can't leave right now! i have to experience social embarrasment!" wich really grinded my gears. This is obviously the most labourious option, but allowing players to choose no will give at the very least replayability to an otherwise unremarkable cutscene.

Really impressed after first trying the demo a long time ago. Love the world building and dialog. My biggest issue is the lack of Audio. I hope it's something you plan to add in the future.

Overall very excited to see where this all goes!

Oh hey another guy above me, but we're definitely not the same.

Anyway: I think most of the current complaints are because the game is still unfinished, and certain planned features aren't in yet. It's clear that the purpose of the out-of-dream content is meant to be the "meta-game" in a way, and track your progress for what stuff you've been doing in the dream sequences. I personally like this approach, and as always look forward to more updates for this game as it is very interesting and I find it pretty fun to play.

With that said, I think it would be a bit more interesting (if not already planned) to have multiple variations or hidden scenes that are not only optional, but also can be missed due to player stats and/or in-dream events. It's nice that there's the genderbend vs "technically still male" variations, but I for one would like to see this idea of branching events expanded upon eventually. :)

Also to be clear I do enjoy the cryptic puzzles as well. But I am also a freak who plays classic point and click games so I'm rather used to it. I also agree that the school sequence could annoy people (despite me loving it fyi) but at the moment this early in development I doubt the school area is even finished content wise. And besides, the game straight up tells you to skip school on multiple occasions unless you stick with Kari. And the game already has an incredibly fast dialogue skip. So fast that its been a bit annoying when i accidentally press it. A 4x speed boost however would even out the slow paced animated sections in dialogue. People seem to think that they won't have to replay the game after each update when the game is still in (presumably) alpha and has major updates that completely change the events in the game thus removing the compatibility of said saves. Oh, Greg also brought up that your stats affect what dreams you get. This is just straight up told to you by the blonde dream girl. It might be good to slow down and actually read what's going on despite it being a porn game, because as it is the dialogue enhances the fetish's and porn aspects of the game.

A lot of the non-dialogue and (some) puzzle related issues I'm seeing are straight up told to you in the game. Slow down, take some fucking Adderall or something and actually play the game. If you're here JUST for the porn then I don't think you should be playing a porn game that's meant to stimulate more than just your genitalia.

Actually, the day time story line should be give clues and unlocking helps to solves puzzles, something like talk to students and investigates around town to learn about clues what to do in the mansion dream, like who is the mysterious woman, you are disguises into.

Maybe watch TV/search internet to unlocking new items form picking up that help in lab level would be a better way to the game.

Or maybe as a level selector, to gain access to a certain type of dream you need to be interacting with specific people/object before sleep, the last thing you do would directly make you to be going into an appointed dream, not randomly selected.

Love the game, still a little lost without a guide. Not sure if I'm bugged but cannot figure out how to get a job.

Going to school currently has no more progression for me.

I'm a bit puzzled. After 3 days I get into this dream with the owl, but it goes on repeat every day. In school I just talk with the two (three) girls. Is it the end of the demo? Or I miss things??

But it seems that the more experienced players don’t want to give even a small guide haha I’m lost ‘the game is cool but sometimes one gets lost’ for example I’m in an infinite century where there’s like a mansion and I don’t know where to go in short it would be good to have something to guide oneself

You will move past that loop and get to start exploring the dream world. Eventually the girls will take you to a convince store. Basically each dream sequence you have one shot to complete the puzzle your currently working on.
