I'm excited to see the new game update soon. I saw Dev made a post about some progress they've made for the story <3

Content:
  • New area within the Lab, new puzzles.
  • Harlequins are back.

Story:
  • New conversations added to the pool
  • Yuri x 2, Rin x 3 ~550 lines of dialogue.
  • More lore across the lab in memos, reports and emails. These function as a hint system similar to Woods' Journal.

Notable fixes and changes:
  • Fixed cat crash. Hopefully permanently this time.
  • Reduced cat movement range, to prevent it from moving into doors.
  • Squidrabbit shouldn't affect genitalia in the real world now.
  • Unwidow won't affect genitalia in the real world.
  • Changed a few flags at the Beach Episode. This won't affect anything immediately, but in the future you might be missing flags if you keep using an old save.
  • Fixed GUI being off by 1 cell when storing items into fridge or storage cupboard.
  • Fixed text log showing up above Esc menu.
  • Sludge nightmare now correctly sets flags that PC is female, when manually triggered from the Dream Home.
  • Saving when you had only 10 Stamina (save costs 10) at night now properly saves the game. Saving in this case reduces stamina to 1.
  • Journal Entry Page 8 was not displaying full text.
  • Intro hologram is now purple. Still poor visibility probably.
  • Weather conversation with Kari to trigger "It's a Beach Episode" now tells you it should be sunny to initiate it.
  • It's a Beach Episode now needs the Dream Home unlocked before you can trigger it.
  • Removed "About" dialogue for Rin in Mansion/Lab since it's redundant now.
  • Quality 4 option at the stove was changing stats before cooking.
  • You can move without changing the pose now. Too many people refused to check controls and thought it's a bug.
  • I don't track typos, but there has been a lot. I appreciate the help, though it saves time if you post them on discord only.

This is actually pretty good. Really nice pixel anims.
Controls can be a bit awkward at times tho, especially since interact and inventory open with the same key press...

You know, I can make this so much harder for you.
careful how you do so though. if the methods employed constitute malware and its caught depending on where you live you may face litigation or jailtime... or end up like the dev of sonic gather battle. bloke got the sprite rips ripped and doxxed... not to mention a lifelong ban from SAGE.

you probably could but what do you gain from it?
Some stats are designed to function as flags by quantity.
Have enough Mind to avoid a nightmare when you shouldn't? Story out of sync.
Don't have the correct Dissonance? Dialogue skipped.
Made an item duplicate? The puzzle sequence is unsolvable now since it require the item to not exist.
Now I have to waste time fool-proofing things because people can't help themselves.

Why not just add a disclaimer that cheating breaks the game and you will not offer support if someone cheats? It would be a lot easier to identify that cheats have been used instead entering the arms race and finding more and more convoluted ways of shutting it down.

I just don't want to worry about hunger and thirst and focus on the puzzles and scenes.

Have to echo this, it might be better to add that disclaimer (and the examples of how things can break) to the the cheattables and probably the OP, as well as a large "don't report bugs if you've cheated, reproduce it with a clean start beforehand" - trying to foolproof stuff or making cheating harder is trying to implement a costly technical mitigation when a social one is probably more suitable (both in terms of labor, and in mental stats ;)).

That being said, feel free to tell us to f off :), just my first thought as someone that had to deal with what kind of security measures are best suited to various situations.

you're under no obligation to fix a bug that occurs when someone mods the game, that's for them to figure out. asking a game dev to fix a problem caused by a mod is just ridiculous

You won't find stuck-up pirate beta testers dissing a developer on a pirate website anywhere else ladies and gentlemen!

To be absolutely fucking clear: Not "dissing". Nor do I think anyone else was.
I was providing feedback to what I think is an absolutely understandable but what I think counterproductive reaction.

There's a larger discussion to be had about art, re-interpretation of it and how modding and cheating are examples of it with video games as a type of interactive art (the same way that homebrew and houserules are for tabletop), but I don't think I should get my soapbox out :ROFLMAO:

Bold of you to assume people read. I used to have that kind of faith too. Fine, I get your point.
There is no arms race anyway. You can literally open the save file and edit your stats.
