Is there a way to make it so that the game stops on a certain day without ending allowing the player to free roam and explore more possibilities

For the thousandth Time No there's no way to transform this into a Sandbox Game
You aren't the First and you sadly won't be the last to ask that.
Actually that's what the checkpoint system can be used for. Set the check point at the start of the day you want to repeat and then play through the day, reload that checkpoint, and your stat progress will be maintained and you can play a different part of that day (or the same if for some reason that's what you want to do). Or if the stat progress is unimportant then just use a save slot and you can explore all the routes that way too.

Keeping in mind that you can bork your save doing this, and to always have a backup of your save file(s).

Yeah if your goal is just to see as much of the scenes as possible I'd recommend just playing with cheats and using save slots for different days. That way you don't have to worry about meeting stat requirements. And you can just do whatever. Won't be enough save slots for all the days but just save over the ones you've seen completely.

Didn’t know that, thanks for the info. This question arose when I saw in a earlier post that someone managed to add extra time slots in order to fit in a few extra options(they included this as a part of their light cheat for easier progression version) so I figured there might be a way to make a bunch of dummy time slots to essentially enable sandbox. I’m not sure if I understood their post correctly but that was my interpretation.

I’d share the post I’m referring to but I don’t know how to quote their post. You could probably find it with some elbow grease.

The botnet + varmod. It's what people want. The 510 version.
I think I may be confused. What does the varmod offer that botnet doesn't cover without it? Just an easier button to click rather than managing checkpoints? There might be a reason people stopped updating it.

Varmod lets you change variables in the game. Modify stats too.

Seeing what happens when you have contracts for everyone, while also maxing out the assistant book.
But you can do all that with checkpoints just by doing the part of the route that completes it. Hell, I accidentally maxed the assistant book when I was doing my virgin run. Maybe I'm underestimating the time it takes to do all that because I've been mapping my lightless route but you can rapidly blow through the game using the shortcut keys if you're not actually reading the text.
