can someone help me? why is the game taking so much of my CPU and Memory?
i have 8gb ram
gtx 1050
intel core i5-8300h

it's very laggy. it was okay at first. but starting from maybe episode 3 it started laggin so much it crash my laptop.

already tested on compressed version of CK2, still have the same problem

I didn't play the update, because it was my understanding there was no new content. I may be wrong, but I thought this update just added an internal walkthrough and the new content ones were still coming.

Agreed, that was peak College Kings IMO. Unfortunately as you mentioned the writing pretty much only went downhill from there.

Well They did tease a bit with Aubrey. MC saw her got fucked by other dude at the dorm in the very beginning, and MC could also watch her being groped by that photographer Laslo (She's also supposed to be working as an exclusive model under him for like 6 months)

Aubrey is a great example of a girl whose personality does a complete flip between act 1 and 2. Goes from college bicycle, everyone's bang buddy, to total jealous girlfriend complete monogamist. Lots of the girls go schizoid like this, but she's probably the most dramatic change. Like Dev put their characters in a bowl mixed it all up at random, then reassigned them to different skins.

Honestly, I had thought the exact opposite.

MC has to jump through a LOT of hoops to get her to change from FWB to Boyfriend status. The first time I went through, I didn't realize there were a few lynchpin moments that if you miss the "switch" will never toggle.

If you don't toggle them, she stays as a FWB.
