I really hope it's the latter.I don't know what inspires more confidence: The idea that they've lost one of the main creative leads for their project and are looking for a replacement, or that they've been working on this game for this long and just now decided that a lead writer might be a desirable hire.

I'm perfectly fine with how the story currently goes. At least there are some meaningful conflicts between main characters. Not just some random guy saying some passive-aggressive shit to pull out dramas.
Replacing a lead writer means potential changes in narrative and yet another change of personality in multiple characters, which is something this game has been suffering from *Chuckle*
