Got it to work, turn out that the phone.rpy was corrupted, replaced with a new download and it's all smooth so far.

Does this mod work with the 5.3 version of the game in the forums? I get error messages whenever I launch the game. "image 'spashone' not found." I redownloaded the file a few times to make sure any files weren't corrupt, like mentioned in the previous post. And this in the logs:
