Anyone got any tips on not getting softlocked by an enemy just blocking every single turn when the maximum damage I can output is just enough to break the shield without doing any damage, then enemy's turn just puts the shield back on and repeat until I get bored and close the game? Huge bummer because aside from getting softlocked in literally the second battle this game seemed like it would be right up my alley.

Holy shit, it's like finding an actual unicorn.

Seemingly decent card gameplay system + good art and presentation + good UI/UX elements like dynamic updating tooltips so you don't have to do all the math in your head.

Took a chance by trying to do Chapter 1 on hard difficulty...actually seems well balanced!

Gonna combine a shit-ton of Slay the Spire/deckbuilder experience with the fact I've felt good about this game so far after going through Chapter 1 on Hard:

- Sometimes luck is just not on your side. When you recognize when this happens, it's becomes easier to brush it off and just start a new run. Learn where you could've done better, sure, but don't take it personally.

- The Activation/Consumable skills seem key to scaling both your offense and defense in this, and you do no damage if you're dead. A decent mix of defensive/healing skills and damage seem good; and also remember that you can stack up on Activatable effects with smart queue usage.

- Activatable Skills have hidden power with the Charging/Acting system. If you Charge an Activatable skill and then wait until the next turn to actually use it, it gives you an extra energy for that turn. If you can save up a two or more activatable skills, combos seems like they can get very good.

- Keep in mind enemy intents and their own buffs. Blindly attacking can be a quick way to actually lose.

How does that even work ? When I'm charging a skill, it becomes unusable for the rest of the fight. If I'm doing the charge on the first fight, I'm effectively softlocking myself, being out of cards in the deck, because I can't cancel or use the charge.
So, either the game's bugged or I'm doing something wrong.

That sounds very odd and probably a bug. I just grabbed the file from Mega and haven't had any issues with the game so far.

From the in-game directions and from my experience, it is supposed to "store" the used cards away, but then on subsequent turns you're supposed to be able to activate the Charged skill at will (which in turn gives the cards back to your deck and means you need to Charge it again, of course).

Thanks for clarifying that up. So I guess it is indeed bugged for me then, I can't interact with the "activate" button once I charged the skill. Tbh, the game's completely broken on my side, like the UI breaking and windows piling up on each other at the end of a fight, game softlocking after a climax, UI windows sometimes getting stuck and so on...

Oof. No idea how to fix that other than to try files from the different sources,

Thanks for the tips. I had another poke trying a different first consumable skill and that made all the difference. Absolutely wicked game.

Same crash issue... has anyone managed to fix it?

I tried a lot of things:
- Admin mode
- Firewall access
- Virtual memory/paging increase
- Turning off Data Execution Prevention (and similar security stuff)
- Running with different resolutions/windowed/fullscreen
- Running with compatibility mode on different settings

Nothing works, the game still crashes at the first battle.

I have the same issue... I get an error that "Lambda.exe" is having issues. I think it may relate to the fact that I denied it access to my network
I blocked the game with my Firewall and it works fine. Problem must be something else.
Can the female protag actively use sex attacks ?
There are some Erotic skills for heroine. But I have seen mostly "defensive" ones, I dont know whether there are some offensive.
Problem is getting those skills is all about luck. During my 1st playthrough RNG has given me a choice to only choose 2 erotic skills. Maybe you will be more lucky.

When selecting rewards for winning fights, you should pick something that boosts your attack power. Then use that combo few times and your attack will overwhelm enemy shields.

My general advice: in your skills you should have:
A.) at least 1 skill thats boosts your defense,
B.) 1 skill to boost your Healing,
C.) at least 1 skill to boost your Attack Power. (how much dmg you do with every hit).

There are many causses for unity bugs. Easiest solution is to search the logs and then google the error message. If you cant find Unity log error than you can try Windows Event Viewer (it often catches 3rd party bugs). Then search for an error message at the time of Unity crash.

Most common issues for Unity:
1.) try updating your hardware drivers (BIOS, chipset, graphics driver, sound drivers) to the latest version.
2.) install latest version of Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable
3.) try different AntiVirus. For example some antiviruses like Avast Free are very agressive and they might drop Unity games.
4.) Delete CCleaner if you are using it.

Thanks for the reply.

I already searched the issue and tried every recommendation I could find for fixing this issue in unity. For reference the error is a "referenced memory could not be read" type of error.

Have all latest drivers, have all the C++, .Net, etc stuff, and I don't use AV or CCleaner. But I don't think any of these things matter for this case because it is a unity game. Someone mentioned on steam that they are trying to make it work on a different unity version. I think this might be the cause of the problem.

According to the official steam page, the game has ridiculously low requirements, like DX9 (I have DX12) 4GB RAM (I have 8), but I suspect it requires something more. For example, the game easily takes 4GB of ram, which is a ridiculous amount and I don't know how can someone with 4GB RAM even run it.

Lastly, I read about several game breaking bugs and other issues that this game has, so I guess it would be best to wait for a couple of updates to stabilize the game. Problem is: I WANNA PLAY IT NOW XD

Weird, seems like the game plays nicely in my Windows 11

What PC specs did you have?

There is no NTR in this game.

Only thing that matters is definition of NTR by F95. "Netorare = Designed to cause jealousy by having the romantic interest involved with someone other than the MC"
And this game doesnt meet the definition.
It doesnt matter if the girl decides to abandon her old boyfriend and get new one. It doesnt matter if the girl is cheating in secret. Thats no NTR.
Game has Male Protag/Male pov sections where he discovers that his girlfriend did cheat on him, this is kinda close to ntr
