The update was... and interesting experience, with the girls' classes in the fantasy world being particularly interesting. So, I wanted to summarize your possible party:
1st member - MC (rookie Fighter)
2nd member - Reba (Barbarian), Dana (Fighter with a strong Amazon flavour), X (meaning I didn't unlock her)
3rd member - Mari (shapeshifting Druid), Jez (Ranged combat Rogue, kinda like a Diablo Demon Hunter), X.
4th member - I believe I didn't have any of them available, as there was always an empty spot in the group's formation after I got the 5th member.
5th member - X, X, Jamie (Cleric).
Some of the LIs, like Suzi, Tammy, or Lisa could never be there, so who did I miss?
Still, I'm a bit annoyed that the MC lost so much time in the real world and will have to mend his relationships again...

The time jump is most likely to justify the separation of the endings to only the Love interest you choose before you go through the portal the first time. If there has been years then the other love interests that did not learn of you going through the portal will have moved on with other people at that point, or will be too upset to forgive you since to them you just ghosted them.
Also explains why when you call Gertrude, Mills, etc they refuse to come help you as they won't be getting any endings with the MC.

Are there hidden scenes if you mix some of the characters that already had sex together with the MC?
Pretty fucked up to add fantasy and turn based combat this far in. Those are tags I filter out. Would have been better as a typical alternate universe without that. This kind of ruined the whole game. Not to mention the tags aren't even there.

While MC was mulling over it he points out that this calculation only works if the time flow correlation is constant. So i guess it was like that for the 15 years that his dad lived there, but changed crazily in those 7 days. Though if such crazy changes can happen, then it's close to impossible that all the parallel versions of characters would be alive at the same time. I guess it's better not to think too much about it

well if you skip it on steam you miss an achievement.... if you care about that stuff. I did all the combat.... not very hard. I don't think I ever had anyone even under 75% health.... ever. So at least the combat is easy. I just felt that this update was like playing a different game....
I'm still not sure if I'm looking forward to the end of the story... I so fucking badly want a harem ending but it's really not shaping up to be that way from what I can tell. In games I don't like choosing just one.. I wanna see all the things, all the stories reaching a conclusion together...

What are you playing on? Can you set it to a higher screen resolution?
If you cannot or it doesn't help, here's a workaround:
- If it's running, close the game.
- Open \game\Screens\New Affection Menu\newaffectionscreen.rpy in a text editor.
- Find line 24, which is: style.parchmenttext.size = 48
- Replace the 48 with 36.
- Save the file, start the game, load your save. The font size of the journal entries will be smaller and you should be able to click CLOSE.
No really hidden scenes, but you'll have more content the more hearts you turn on (and have that character's story completed) before entering the portal.
For example the only 3somes this update are with Brandi and the 2nd party member (Adrian, Kendra, or Juliana).
Some of the rooms in the dungeon only show if you have that character as LI. Also the BTHTMILF makes an appearance IF you chose to have fun with her before.

Slot 4: Bai, Izzy, Jamie
All of those have a sex scene. All in slot 2 have a 3some w/Brandi/MC.
Addional sex scenes with Joan (NEW), BTHTMILF, Brandi, Rhonda, Gertrude, Suzy.
Appearance w/o sex scene Lisa, Tammy, Eden, Whitney
That is speculation. And yes, I'm curious to find out. I doubt RJ will have mending 20 relationships in her final update.
After a quick count I'd say that even in here the
have the majority.That's the way the dev had it planned from the beginning. She's been quite transparent about it.
She also - a few weeks back - wrote that one of the 18 endings will be harem-style, so chill, everyone. I'm looking forward to it too.

Yes, because the developer should assume that their audience are little tiny stinky babies and hold their hands for every step of the journey. Wouldn't want them to be slightly uncomfortable. Wouldn't want them to have to think or read or do anything too difficult. The wittle babies might cry.
