Because he's supposed to get frozen. The Ice Queen can't die, she has plot armor. She is supposed to freeze MC, so Angel Suzy can warm him back up.

That's correct. You have to start indulging her somewhat, but then you can turn the tables on her. I kinda enjoy that MC can choose to be sub or dom depending on my mood.

Absolutely, I agree it's the best way. This game has some things that I wish everyone else
would try to implement. Such as, like you said having the choice w the lawyer, but also simply
being able to enable/disable characters at various times is really great as well.

The disposition of the rooms changes randomly on every playthrough, so no, there is not a shortcut you can take.
To see all content you should visit every room, but if you skip the battles it takes a few minutes to go through.
