And i have NEVER encountered a game that needed a clean save without mods to start a Chapter/Season/Split 2. EVER

why should any dev care about other peoples mods,
it's the creator of the mod and the user of it that need to fix it.

If they are a good modder, they know how to create a mod that doesn't break the save compability.
If they aren't but still release the mod, they -the modders- should take the blame for their mistakes.

Short guide how to transfer saves on PC.

1. load ep9 or older save/ start anew in old client
2. run/skip to plane goes away and titles in ep 9
3. close ep9 game, open new ep10 game client
4. start new game. Yes. Start a new game in new client.
5...
6. Proceed

not gonna lie ch10 was mid. not much happened and the Clara animation was flawless but the Cia and Amy were terrible for me it stuttered and was unplayable which is weird since the Clara one was better animated and longer. The cliffhanger was also expected and not surprising since it was hinted already a few chapters back. Hope next chapter has more action.

Replayed 1-9, got to the end, started CH 10 with no save issues.

The sound was weird sometimes, it would randomly get really loud in various spots.

Poor Gab. That choice was rough.

i see some people dropping the game bc they cant continue, guys you cant be this computer illiterate i played the game the instant it dropped here just read it and use basic reasoning instead of wasting time telling us how you didnt try to make it work do this
1 download season 1
2 load before the big "end of chapter 9" sign
3 click until after big "end of chapter 9" sign
4 the game will tell you that is making a save for chapter 10
5 run chapter 10 click "new game" and be done with it

Then the persistent was not important, or even needed in the first place.

Every mod, icpatch, whatever will bork your game/saves and even the persistent. That's a undeniable fact, peroid.
A savegame, created with installed mod A can only be used in the next update with the installed mod A, it will not work with mod B or on a clean installation like intended from the dev.

So stop blame the dev for your messing with the game files.

Its the same, if you have a Stellaris game session that is modded to hell and back and you move to the official paradox help forums to complain why the super rare xyz quest refuses to get triggered.

Take your complains to the modder, the dev provides you with a game that works if it is played as the dev intended - namely with a clean unmodded installation.

Nope. I updated both versions when I added Season 2.
Also made an update patch from the old Ep 9 to the new one, 2 or so pages back.

to be fair i must say that in some games when playing with mod the save will work normally when updating the game and continiue to play without mod.

but to do that you must delete the whole game except the saves and install the update fresh without mod.
if you overwrite the old gamefiles with mod with the new updatefiles the game will just end at the end of the last update.

the same is with incest patches in some games the saves work in some games not.
but you are right neverless that in most games the saves get broken when you try to play a game that has a WTmod that is NOT implemented when you try to play a new version of the game without mod.

and to be frank here no dev can be blamed when playing modded games and breaking saves when you try playing it without mod.
