Hmm? Are you talking about the situation with feral noel? I dont remember Ren ever hunting Rule B, she became aware of action surrounding feral noel and wanted to take part in the slaughter as far as i remember.

Im like 99,9% convinced that claire would never hurt the mc or intend to, imo she sees him like a son even when she turns into the second hitler lol

I am refering to this scene. It seems pretty clear that Ren is having the slaves hunt down Rule B. I dont know if they are looking for Gabe or the MC but they are definitely looking for one of them. I just don't see what Ren would gain by trying to off the MC. They are looking for Rule B and at this point, Ren would know Rule B as Nael's companion and not the MC so it would make sense that she is hunting down Gabe for some reason.

The only reasons I could see Ren doing that is either Clare wanted him gone because he is the only person she sees as a threat to her hostile takeover or Ren could also believe somehow that Nael would want him gone. It is pretty clear that Ren believes that Nael still hates all humans, so she may think she would be doing Nael a favor by getting rid of him?

Even if her motherly love for him wouldnt be genuine - which i think it is - he is (was) the best bodyguard for Klara's future and the best chance for klara to be safe. Or like in a case how its now, the only chance to get her back.

And Claire's love for Klara is unequestionable (her love for the mc too imo tho). Even a 100% vile evil Claire would consider MC more of a weapon than a threat at least as long as opponents like Zero are still around and the high order lacking in powerful companions. It doesnt makes sense.

Nael is more or less an omnipotent god from rens view, i doubt she considers killing one human worht of anything lol

Very well could be. I dont really believe Claire would hurt the MC either. I also don't see it being in Ren's interest to attack the MC which is what makes it odd. She even says when she explains her plan that Clara is so valuable as a host at least partly because of the MC. Maybe that whole fight was just a power test for him and Ren formulated her plan around that?

What gets me is that the blades, and therefore Ren, recognized the energy signature that she was looking for. She is good at manipulating her energy but she is rather weak in all other aspects if we believe Noel's description of her. So if she doesnt have fantastic preception, how is she able to confirm the energy she is looking for is Rule B just by seeing him from a satallite camera? It would make sense if she had seen him before but she had never met the MC which is why I thought it may have been Gabe she is after.

We don't know for sure that Ren has ever met Gabe though. It seems like a mixed bag. Some companions and dark ones know about him and Nael and others dont. Dia and Zero knew who gabe is but Tessah and Matt didtnt. So, it is really hard to say for certain.

Nothing specific was announced officially. But it is already around time for next update. Considering previous releases, and his constant expasion time in developing, i think it is safe to assume this month is unlikely.

May be november, mid to end. But. like i said, nothing specific was announced yet.

Same, the temptation is very real. This is what it felt like getting into a tv show before streaming. They would always leave you on a cliffhanger and pick it up on the next season premiere. You would be waiting months and sometimes an entire year for the next season. I don’t really know if they do that as much since streaming picked up. I don’t watch much tv so I’m a bit out of the loop.

Treat yourself to a coffee and just wait for the full chapter. Personally, I think the Ren thing is completely unnecessary, since normally only the hand would have to be cut off to break the control connection, since the sword is probably too strong. I hope this boring act is over quickly and more exciting chapters can appear.

Personally, I’m pretty excited for the Ren storyline, though I do hope it is a bit shorter than some of the other ones. It is about time the MC defeats a major antagonist on his own and Ren will probably be that first defeat. If I had to guess, I’d bet that Clara and Ren will have killed Unis before the MC has a chance to get to him so it’s probably gonna have to be Ren.
