well, nevermind lol seems the same as the one on itch. so.. I guess I was just being paranoid.
Just as an FYI... the torrents from rpdl.net get created from the download links in the OP, so if there's any tampering, those would be equally affected. And the F95 staff would have killed those downloads if they contained anything other than what the dev released. On top of that, when converting the download to a torrent, it's again scanned for unwanted things.

Not to mention that we wouldn't even be allowed to post such announcements if ever there was any chance of it being tampered with.

Flash never died, google just thinks they killed it. lots of people still use flash. I'm in a flash enabled browser right now lol. in the end it never should have been a company mandate that forced flash removal, it should have been a user decision whether to use flash or not, just like when the fbi told us javascript was dangerous, they didn't rabidly remove it from all browsers, they just advised us not to use it unless we had to.

google only forced it's removal because it was standing in the way iof their new html5 dynamic content method from taking over the internet and thus allowing google total dominance over the browser market. it was purely business so that any webbrowser that wants to read webgl and google's own brand of javascript had to install google spyware into their browser. which google uses to sell user information to advertising companies and governments..

ironically the fbi warned us javascript was not secure, and google warned us flashplayer was not secure, so they created html5 webgl with javascript (which is insecure).
well yes, it ain't actually dead. i just meant that that's much harder to access now. but yeah it def should not have been forced for everyone to remove flash, same with ublock as well with what's happening now with manifest V3. just with different specific things being targeted.

Is there a way to make the game run better? Animations stutter a lot and I don't think it is because my pc is not enough for flash

Playing in windowed mode / making the window smaller can help with performance if you have a old pc.

Is there a way to make the game run better? Animations stutter a lot and I don't think it is because my pc is not enough for flash
So, "stuttering" or shaky animation or skipped frames, is a sign of spyware framegrabbing the content you are viewing. it's often periodic. I have 16 GB RAM and I only see stuttering if I have loaded websites affiliated with the following servers:
akamai
amazon
Yahoo
Facebook
Google
Sometimes Cloudflare.

yes it can cause stuttering in other applications, modern spyware scripts use javascript to grab memory from other applications currently in focus or in use and then convert it to a visible format live on your hardware and send it to their spyware vendor., most of them call a temporary time.wait which causes a visual pause in the target application, this can disrupt video to audio sync, or calculated animations such as vector shape animations.

my advice, DO NOT play anything until you have cleared cookies and html5 storage from yahoo google facebook and other related sites AND closed your webbrowser and or reopenned it(if you need to use it). It gets really bad if multiple spyware are actively fighting for the same information.

You should also be using No Script addon for your browser, scripts from google facebook or spyware vendors should be "rejected" and you should restart your browser before watching anything. if you need to use google or whatever set their main script to temporary persmissions, then when finished revoke all temporary permissions and restart your browser ona non google page with a google firewall rule bocking them.

I hardly use the afore mentioned sites, however some websites or content may be hosted on google without specifying it by name. for that you'll need a google blockign firewall rule. and a facebook blocking firewall rule.

if you need, heres my firewall for google, facebook, yahoo and cloudflare: you'll need to make rules in your firewall, mine are mostly outgoing rules, but you can make incoming rules too, keep in mind; this will many times require you to toggle rules on and off when loading websites just to see them and to identify where that website is hosted in the process. I often include what sites I use that are hosted on such servers in the firewall rule name, gbstudios is hosted on amazon in example.

others that could cause similar issues are microsoft and cloudfront. theres anot of different spyware vendors actually, edgecast, psychz.net , fastly(fandom), archive.org analytics, hackademix, limelight, Q2 software, wikimedia.org. all sorts, any of them could choose to target you for a spyware attack to grab a screenshot (framegrab) or attempt to grab application memory.

the internet is a nasty place out there.

... dude, an application stuttering doesn't mean you're being hit with spyware, there's a 1000 other things that could affect performance, like y'know a solo dev trying to optimize their game on an old technology like Flash. (Much love to the devs out there, I know you're trying.)

If you're going to run sketchy, low intensity software, just run it in a VM with no network connection. There's more issues than just corporate spyware out there, and could potentially be much more damaging to your system and online privacy.

If anyone can edit the OP, kindly update with a description of what the game is about / based on, and a short description of the plot.

there may be many potential causes of framelag, some are hardware related, some are settings related, and some are bloat-related, some may be software related. however, do you know why I specified spyware as a primary candidate?

because I don't know the user I was advising. and most people I don't know well, when I look at their devices; have 0 protection against spyware. they leave all of that to antivirus software(which ignores spyware from google and yahoo and facebook and microsoft in example). Then I have my own personal experience with these spyware vendors. I know for a fact, that 99.99% of the time if I go to google yahoo facebook etc. then for example try to run a memory intensive flash (even if I closed google and disabled their scripts in noscript), if I did not restart the browser on a clean spywarefree page, then I can expect stuttering in flashes and videos, 99.99% of the time.. it's so bad it's almost guaranteed.

so, in not knowing this person I am advising, and the tone of their question hinting they have good physical system resources and may have little knowledge as to what is causing it and thus probably don't use their firewall or a script blocker at all, and probably visit spyware vendor pages regularly. I'm almost positive that spyware lurking in their browser might be at least part if not all of the problem. because if they don't protect themselves, then spyware is almost guaranteed to affect them in this way.

most modern browsers and some other software come with special spyware for google and such built right into the program. so. that's where firewall rules come into play. so I gave all that advice. and yeah it may be over most peoples heads, but I'm of the mind of a teacher. I honestly think more people should learn to protect themselves online. because software vendors sure wont.

Cuddlepit's stuff? I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary, no issues. I haven't been watching it religiously while it's open in resource monitor resmon.exe, but I did watch it when looking at v0.23 because I got it from torrent the first time. it was not communicating with anywhere strange, and it was not abusing system resources, that I could see, at least not enough to cause noticable issues. so when I say software I mean "other software".
