Also, the ending of this version is when you try to give the dress and scepter to Ivy's portrait? because it feels like the end, but it acts like a bug (stuff was taken from inventory, but the quest resets to its start, preventing you from advancing).
If it IS the end of content for this version, it should be a bit clearer. Properly let the users know, don't just revert advancement.

The game does explicitly tell you end of current content, you didnt actually complete that quest. You also have to retrieve and return her crown.

Could you elaborate what exactly you thought was better before?

I agree, in most regards the game has improved, especially art. The only thing I prefered in the older version is the story/tone. It was a little more lighter and "harem-esque" and the girls seemed to interact more witch each other, but the current version has matured so much that I prefer it overall.

I have heard a few people mention something being wrong with the save system and I think I now understand what is going on.

The game has 2 ways to save, a manual system and an autosave system.

When the game starts it asks you which save you want to load. If you pick "load save" it loads the last time you hit the save game button.

If you hit the "load autosave" it will load the last time the game autosaved which triggers each time you move into a room.

This can be an issue as if you accidently meant to load your autosave but instead load your manual save which can lose you progress if it has been awhile since you pressed the save button.

In the main menu I'm changing the text from "load autosave" to "continue" and moving the placement which should make things much more clear.

I feel like there is quite a few things that have massively improved like the UI and the isometric maps over the flat 2D ones.

1. This is not developed by a company, so development is slow.
2. The Dev knows that is what people want, so he's (probably) saving that content for the late stages of the game, to keep patrons for as long as possible.
3. Combine that with the fact that this game also got rebooted completely once, and it's not hard to picture this situation.

I'm not an expert on such matters myself, but considering how Camo became basically the best character in the new version of the game (so far), due to her abundant of (fun) content compared to the rest, I would argue that starting to give players scenes with at least Faye, and later elaborating on that and adding more scenes (possibly in combination with other main heroines) would make for a better product with more appeal. But that's just my personal uninformed opinion.

Thank you for posting your save and the bug report! A cutscene should play when you enter the room but something is messing with it. It looks like it has something to do with when the game moves you into a new room then tries to play a cutscene. Something weird is going on with the timings. I'm looking into it now.

Saving and then re-loading once your stuck should fix it as you should spawn in the correct room and the cutscene should play as you load in.
