Paywalling from the very begging = alright, doing so after getting publicity and patrons = just greed, which would eventually grow bigger and bigger like it usually happens. Just my 2cents

Good luck chief, sorry that you kinda dropped it but supporting your decision, some content maybe paywalled but most content was free and I found it fair that some more supporting patrons to get more of it. Even though we come here to get pirated stuff, you are not some big company. I believe theres and should be honor among thieves aswell.

You're wrong.... US copyright laws are enough to give any normal person a brain aneurysm first off. Then copyright laws from varies countries aren't uniform, even with some sharing international agreements. So I doubt many of the foreign websites those images where downloaded from even had a license (but two wrongs don't make a right). Or if those clips are from DVDs he purchased, one could argue whatever version of fair use the host country has. Like in Japan, where they use to look the other way when someone used a studio's character in hentia (more a tradition then a law). A lawyer could go into how much of the game is original content, with the images being mere window dressing to a complex story with a large enough of text and choices. Finally, the game having licensed or non-licensed files is just moral justification for a action you would do anyways (downloading the game for free). Kinda makes me wonder what moral stand a pirate would take when say I download this game and put it on a site that has advertisements which then generates a income for myself.
No, paywall is not the real issue. The dev shouldn't single out one user as the reason for adding the paywall. A lot of games on this site have paywalls contents, it was never a huge issue. It become an issue when you brigade your fanbase to attack someone simply they didn't agree with your decision.
