The writing is soul crushing in a good way, Makes you wonder about stuff and reevaluate you life.
but...

Anyway can someone see this MC ending with Elsa?
as for me is kinda impossible atm.
Elsa is a snake, and she's using MC, that much is fucking obvious, MC putting Emma in her place and turning her into a personal sex slave is more likely to happen than a happy ending with Elsa.

That's one way to see this, I guess.

I don't share your point of view, but who knows, this game is unconventional in the best of ways anyway.

Emma is the sub/dom relationship that is bound to be hatefucked (and will probably like it), if you follow that path. There's bound to be clashes soon, on a different level.

Alicece (sorry) is the 'beta fan' path, she's kind but ultimately wayyyy too up there, mentally and technically, probably very fickle because she's filthy rich and can do whatever she wants.

The bimbo (don't remember her name, hate her type anyway) just wants to be pampered, she's vain and will 'buy' her way with sex, she wants a true 'alpha' who will give her whatever she wants...

I could see Vicky be part of the equation soon, she seems very kind, and damn hot, but yeah, we've barely seen her so far.

But Elsa ? She's a dream... who's not totally honest, that's a fact. She plays games with everyone, but the worst victim of her games is probably herself, and she's yet to realize it... one thing is certain, to me at least, she's drawn to Edward for 'reasons' (of her own), otherwise she wouldn't waste her time like that, I mean, it's not like she's reaping rewards with him on any points, she doesn't seem to need money either... yes, there's something fishy, but I don't know why, I love that type, strong-willed, independant, proud, wickedly smart, and obviously beautiful. I see Yennefer (Witcher) in her, and I love Yennefer, she won't turn left cause you turn left, she'll do whatever she wants.

Cause otherwise, happy endings ain't a sure thing in any of those paths, we'll just have to be consequential with the choices presented to us.

When you're at the cafe where MC runs into the door, Elsa's friend says to her "another pet project?" or something like that, which should raise a giant red flag.

Whatever Elsa is doing with MC it's not the first time she's been involved in something like that, perhaps she just enjoys controlling people, but the fact that her background is completely obscure except for that she is obviously from a wealthy family, and likewise her ability to set up a face-time meeting for MC with the former CEO of a major oil company just as a part of some ploy to help make him COO also hints that she's most likely someone who's experienced in corporate culture (sorry for the pun) even though she herself has never had previous employment, ergo her father must be some big shot and she's grown up around the constant powerplays and ratfucking involved in it, as such she's someone constantly looking for openings, or constantly trying to create openings.

My assumption here is that she's looking for tools and useful people, she wants people to owe her favors that she can collect on, and to have hooks on people, which is exactly what she has on MC, she both has him in her debt, and she has a hook on him by knowing his desires and fears etc. When Elsa worked to make MC into an executive at EO it wasn't just in an effort help the player out of some sense of altruism, by making someone who owes her more powerful she increases the value of the favors she can collect and as such she is strengthening her own position.

Elsa is going to be a problem down the line, either the player will have to play ball with her and give her whatever she wants, or she could potentially fuck his life up in a major way, she knows about how MC blackmailed Emma into endorsing him for the position of COO, and she knows that MC is a weird stalker who's hounding the important executive guy's daughter. (forgot his name and position)

I don't get how people can see Elsa differently, it's obvious what's going on, and conflict is a necessary part of creating momentum to move the story along, Elsa might have some romantic ending with MC, but there's going to be a river of shit to cross before you get there, and I highly doubt you will have the same fondness for Elsa after that experience.

When I think of Elsa I start humming "Wrapped Around Your Finger" by The Police.

Anyone ballancing those will tell ya this is overhyped and overpraised for the lackluster promotionals.

Lol I hadn't even noticed the horrible description, what's up with that? :ROFLMAO:

However, the critic you make is superficial. What only matters is the game itself, its content. It's underated as in not enough mentioned in conversations outside of its own thread, as opposed to some "overhyped" teenage fanfic author level of literature often mentioned in the lists for best VNs.

Yeah, 'underrated' basically = 'mostly unknown'.

And yeah, it's underrated as hell.

Probably because it's a smart game.

MC is written as always running in circles, even the updates are copy-pasted one from another:
MC gets with Elsa, they collude, they make a breakthrough,
MC slips back into his self deprecating offputting mindset,
the neighbor is there to ease the sexual tension ... the end.
what's up with that?
Probably because it's a smart game
A female dev who is doing marvelous, is young and has a similarly cutthroat corporate game,
has given this game four stars and has told of the unappealing, bland, horrendously underdevelopped
swimming in shit MC for years now - this game dev did jack shit about that,
even tho MC has a gym trainer pal who has been trying to hook him up with girls for ever.

Totally disagree with your statements, and I'm not here to argue, we're on the opposite ends of the spectrum here anyway.

But I'm curious, what's the game of your friend ?

Honey is not for the ass's mouth.

Why the game is not more popular?
Updates take too much time to come out.

It's the same for every quality AVNs out there, definitely not the reason.

And anyway, beside some more fortunate producers (like DrPinkCake, for example), you can't live with 600$US a month, what sqwl earns with Patreon, so most have jobs too.

That seems like a good reason, yeah. If you really like the game, you are gonna wait, no problem. But long waiting times and updates that are not big will always make some people leave the boat. That's inevitable, I think.

The reason why this game is unpopular?

Easy peasy:

1) this thread's fucking overview is killing it

2) pictures in the OP are killing it

3) game's overview in Patreon's page

4) how the story starts - everybody should keep on reading it until Elsa makes Edward cut his hair, at least.

Since this game's first updates came out I asked the uploader / F95 mods: "please change the overview and the pictures because they're killing the game". Nada.

What can I do? I'm not a mod.

Anyway, if anyone wants to help, well... why don't you put this game's banner in your signature like I did?

Believe me: it helps. I downloaded and played quite a few games because of some users' signatures. Quite a few ;)

Yeah. I've also gotten to know games after seeing them in the signatures of others. I have had game's banners in my signature in the past. The only reason I (more or less recently) switched to an only-text signature was to save space. But now that I have only three completed games mentioned in it, perhaps I should either raise awareness of ongoing games, like this one, instead or use a couple of game banners, like you. I'll see... Good heads-up anyway. (y)

MC is portrayed as someone who is a loser, and he is full of self doubt for the entire duration of the game as it currently stands, but I believe that the intent of the author is for his personality to follow his ego along with his promotion to COO, which I believe will be used as a major plot device to create drama between MC and Elsa, who move from being a driving force for MC's change into something of an antagonist.

your complaint about MC being "shit" is really a subjective determination you make out of a sense of retarded progress in terms of his personality, the fact that he's barely even existed for the last 10 years is sort of the point of the game, and I fail to understand why you feel that his personality has to change the instant he becomes the PC from the players perspective, or what would account for a couple of weeks of time in game, it's a slow burn, but for MC's personality to change there would have to be an impetus for said change, and there really hasn't been anything that would suffice as a large enough transition in his life until this last update to justify any major change in the MC, such changes have to be earned.

I don't see the point of dunking on the game for a lack of character development when from what I can tell the game is most likely less than halfway through its story arc, it's really just that the game developer doesn't have the same vision you would have had for the game, and as such your complaints amount to nothing more than that the game doesn't perfectly suit your own subjective taste.

First time I read your message I was not sure what you meant exactly by overview (my English could be better). Then, upon looking at the OP for sigs links, I read this:

f95_overview.jpg

And on the Patreon page, about the dev and the game:

patreon.about.jpg

I can only 100 % agree that those are definitely not good examples as how to sell the game. Sigh.

And many of the render previews in the OP look dull and/or bland. But it is also true that picking good previews can be a more demanding task than writing an engaging piece of text to introduce the game to new players.
