I think his "best" friend being the one who she cheated on with and him beating up MC probably also had a psychological impact which led to him suppressing a lot as well.

Didin't you play the latest versions ?
For me it's all about the evolution of this man who was weak at start (for reasons explained in the game) and about the role of Elsa and the boss's daughter (forgot her name).
Personally I think it's one of the best games on this site, clearly not the most "faping" one but the most interesting. It's nice to play someone different from all the "megadicks harem family pervs boys" we always encounter.
It certainly does have some of the best dialogues and the story is a gold. I mean try to take the most mundane environment (corporation office) and try to make the story interesting. It's easy if your MC is a chosen one with a special talent, but a guy with serious problems, who - driven by a new goal - changes and decides that he not only will participate in the rats race, but that he also will win it no matter the costs. I simply love it

It still sucks if you have been curious about/interested in the plot/story.
I dont even give much of a fuck about the mc and what happens to him but i really want to know what elsa's deal is lol

Imo this would be so boring as some kind of fightclub story and would just make the MC (even more) weird lol
I think its likely abandoned. The dev used to make at least monthly radio check updates on his patreon page. His last one was in april and the tone of it did not inspire confidence in me that he was going to finish this project. seems like the dev kept having ideas to do new and interesting things with the game that he had not previously planned on doing but then seemed to be emotionally overwhelmed by the scope of everything new he was wanting to add and I think I remember him saying something in his last post like "if I cant do this and this then I dont feel like its worth doing at all". If he has abandoned, im not surprised. I like this game quite a bit so I really hope he jumps on here and proves me wrong but I dont think he had a history of going unresponsive and now he has for for about 5 months so from my perspective it does not bode well.

It's Corporate Culture, updates taking more than a year here isn't anything out of the ordinary. I don't think it's abandoned, but I don't have high expectations of the game ever being finished at this point

Most likely it would be something like this:
"Hi, thanks for asking, Im having some real rough times, as you probably can presume considering this cursed avn developing job, but do not worry - I am still working on the game nevertheless. I probably shouldnt tell you this, but only in this last year I have lost three dads, two moms, four sisters and a few cousins. And I am not even gonna mention a dog, three cat, five hamsters and a golden fish. On top of that there was a big flood in the area followed by two huge earthquakes. Luckily I am alive, yet quite shaken due to all those unfortunate events. But, again, do not worry my friend, I am still very much dedicated in

The simple and damn truth is that this game has never been popular and its Author never cashed anything from it (almost).
I'd be really surprised if we saw another update ever. Sadly.
(now, just to be clear: this is my second favourite AVN ever)

That's exactly what I would expect, if I believed as you seem to that all developers are capitalist pigs who are only in it to screw over their subscribers and milk them for as much as they can get.
Fortunately for my own sanity, I don't believe that most developers are like that at all.
While there are some developers like that out there, none of them get my money.
