Adding up some kind of old cougar type would be a good decision if that's what developers aim for. 2 for Alan, 5 for Clara is probably enough at this point. You may add episodic encounters like cinema dude or the generic goon at the beginning, but as for the options of chars who can steal Alan from Clara and vice versa, this should be enough.

As far as, "you should have seen Scene 1, to get Scene 2" - I hope it won't go the spiral way, so that "To Get Scene 5 YOU MUST have Scene 4". Like, for example, I like Harrison. In Scene 1 Clara's in control. In Scene 2 - she's still in control. But in Scene 3 Harrison decides to swap the roles for one time. I don't like it, but I have to endure it to get Scene 4.
The best solution would've been to have Scene 4.1 and Scene 4.2 - two variations, just like with Leon. Either doing that with if Scene3 == True Jump Scene 4.1 else Scene 4.2. Or simple points system.
Yup, more work, but more options in this case is better if you ask me.
