We got a Perfect Marriage situation a exgf/bf revenge. Maybe a Leon type of situation she fucked somebody and ended it but that person didn't take it well. That's why there handle is X.
There are many possibilities...anyone can be X and there can be any reason that will be told later on but it should be someone related to character....else the story will not make any sense.

Actually if she has a pattern of doing that and she does it during missions. It would definitely be related to her character and also her character as a person. So that is a possibility. See we lack a lot of information on what she had to do as an assassin and what type of missions she was on and who she messed with. X does not have to be a literal relationship she had outside of work could have been someone she messed with while on the job or on a mission. As you said many possibilities.

He did it last time. He's waiting for someone else to take turns cuz why not. He cant always be the hero who takes the fall. Not sure if u here since before but dev getting pissed when game gets leaked outside of its scheduled release.
