Hello Sinners!
I know it's about time for the next update to be released but I come here bearing some unfortunate news. I have been facing trouble at my workplace and got fired. Yeah, it's unfair but it is what it is and I have been running around to get another job for a couple days now. Before that, I was trying to hard to keep my ex job while trying to juggle the development of the update. Suffice to say I struggled to put in enough time to finish the update. It wasn't the priority if you can understand.
So things are in a limbo now and I have no idea when I am going to get another job. But my focus will be on finding the new job rather than the development of this game. So this means I don't know when we can put out the next update because there is still work left and I am most disappointed that I couldn't show it to you guys, especially after the hot scenes I had halfway already rendered.
But I don't want to give any false hopes and felt I needed to announce this rather than remain silent and make you guys think your money is being milked.
So no promises can be made now when I can put out the next update and you are free to withdraw your support. We won't insist on support while we are in this limbo. Sorry again for disappointing you guys :/

I don't know if I'm supposed to believe that. Because the updates were already getting worse and worse, posting intervals were getting longer and communication was getting less and less, long before this post. Still, if that's true, i wish him the best and good luck.
But, I'm personally pretty convinced that at this point the developer didn't get the support he was expecting and that's why his willingness to work on the game diminished. And I think that's what this is all about.
Did the developer deserve more support? At some point, mostly in the beginning yes, but I think he gave up too soon and started releasing bad updates, so it's normal for the game to go down. If he could keep up the good updates a little longer, he would have a much better chance. At this point, I don't think this game will get back on track easily.
It's sad tho. I liked this game a lot at one point.

Well it sucks he got fired from his real job but his renders are good, he could get a job just selling his 3D art. Not sure what it pays but I know “steps of debauchery” dev is always looking to hire more artists to do renders for that game
The game will be abandoned sooner or later. There is only a forced NTR route. Players who don't like NTR will not support the author. How much can players who only rely on NTR support the author?
Not everyone likes NTR. Games should not force NTR. Authors who force NTR will not get support from players who hate NTR. After all, players who like NTR are a minority. It is inevitable that the author will eventually stop developing because the profit is too low. If the game can choose the non-NTR route, then the author will also get support from non-NTR players.
It's a sad news...Well LP quit the job to work full time VN ....I guess he could work on this VN to earn a lil money until he gets a new job...there is nothing wrong with that....the time he used to spend in real job, he can spend that time in finding a new one.. Hope he gets a new job soon ..until he find one, he can keep working on this for a lil pocket money...there's nothing wrong with that...As he mentioned this VN was not his primary job, so keep doing it as a side job instead of denying to work on it until getting a new job. I mean why to kick all source of income all together?
He lost his job, he didn't quit on his own. He had 123 backers, and the revenue from the game was clearly not enough.
I am not saying not to find a new job...obviously he has to do that...but even if gets like 200 dollars support which is obviously not enough...it doesn't mean to stop earning that too...I am not asking him to do this VN as his full time work, but he can continue with whatever lil amount he gets while searching for a new job and his busy life rather quitting on it. Why to reject even a lil amount of income in critical situation?
