I feel weird lecturing someone on porn plot but here we go. You got that half right. Or a quarter right, whatever.

Awaken did make Gwen head over heels in love with the MC (not a sex slave, that's a detail but still wrong) against her will. That is true.

That's not what it's supposed to do, however. Gramps told the MC exactly what Awaken does and that Shatter is a piece of it that's broken off. Technically they are one and the same, or they're supposed to be. That's partly why Awaken did not work exactly like it should have on Gwen. That and a huge surge of power the MC got in the lab and not controlling his powers well yet.

The game is about a lot of things. And your opinion that it's about mind control is valid. You may even be right. But that's not what I think it's about. I want the game to have a happy ending and the MC be a hero. Will it happen? I don't know. But I want it. And I'd like people not to judge me for that.
1. Gwen is absolutely a mind controlled slave - after being zapped by Awaken she did not only become instantly attracted to the MC, she forsake her previous beliefs, betrayed her former comrades and even went as far as trying to sacrifice herself when the Beast appeared.
2. Gramps was pretty vague in his explanation. He also said Awaken will make people worship the MC and that "theres no limit to its versatility". To me its clear that Awaken is a type of mind control just with some extra conditions. MC brings out only those thoughts and desires which could be useful and then molds them however he likes. Im not gonna argue this further, you can think of Awaken as instant psychotheraphy if it makes you feel better ;)

1. I already said this is correct, I don't know why you're repeating it. My point was you were wrong about the MC's powers and we can still save her.
2. Gramps was absolutely crystal clear about what Awaken is supposed to do. I never said Awaken is psychotherapy. Yes, the MC takes women's desires and takes advantage of them. I'm not denying that. I'm not saying I want to help and the girls and make them happy and hope the MC does just that to make myself feel better. It's just what I want to happen. It's the game I want to play. That's all.

Until ArcGames come out and tells me that's absolutely not what's gonna happen I'm gonna keep hoping if you don't mind.

You're right it doesn't mean he has to be beat her up even if he has to be strong enough to be worthy in her eyes.

The only character this is an issue with is Chloe. And the MC did exactly that. He tried "curing" her and realized it would take too much power so he settled for making her "act" like her old safe for the sake of her sister.

No one else had their personalities altered really, with the possible exception of Gwen, in a way. I mean she still acts like herself, just with a n unhealthy love and devotion to a guy she doesn't know. Wrong? Yes. Priority grade "must fix now"? Not really.
Gwen and Chloe are the only two I am referring two and claiming either are still acting like themselves is very bad. Because unless something has changed that I haven't come across, one still acts like a emotionless robot and the other acts well like a yandare. And even with the reset... I'm technically neither of the characters actually had any screentime at all so we have no real clue if the "act the same around her sister" is just that as she seems to still act no different than before the MC basically made her his slave and we know nothing about the two girls at all before the whole lab scene.

I'm fine with this except for one detail. Why wouldn't Chloe be like her old self when the MC asks her to be? Wouldn't her little sister notice is it wasn't the case?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying their situations aren't fucked up I'm just hopeful it can be fixed.

I don't think of them as my "minions" but I do care about them. Ex-enemies or not. That's just me though. I'd just rather in the end they be with me because they wanna be. Not because I force them to be.

That's my personal, maybe idealistic and dumb opinion.
Oh yeah, that is most certainly idealistic. So far, Alice is the only one even slightly tipping Chloe's freedom in her favor, and even then it's only a slight waver. In a not so perfect world, Chloe would be my personal assassin, and Gwen would just be my pet if I wanted to do something more interesting with her. I would absolutely take Pixie up on her offer of banging Gwen while Mark was sprawled across the ground, maybe even send him photos. Even if it turns out Mark actually has some sort of sad life, I don't bend to other men the same way I do to women, or their little sisters. Even if I could fix Mark's life, I take more pleasure in just taking what's his.

My ideology in video games is one of conquest. What's mine is mine, and what's yours will soon be mine. Gwen is my prize and I shall have her as I see fit. If I could pull some strings I'd set Alice up to where she wouldn't have to worry about having to actually travel to see her sister, but they would effectively belong to me through Chloe. Alice would just never know what I have her sister do. The women would be cared for, while everyone else would be more like stepping stones. Someone like Kana would be cared for, but if for example some man knew Kana, he'd just be my personal doormat.

TL;DR My playstyle is that of an asshole. Even if I'm not murderous, I will make them feel like dirt.

I can respect it. That's way different from what I do but eh. If you're having fun, that's what counts.

If I could describe myself, it's as a respectable overlord that could be ruining someone's life in one moment, and then playing with the little one because she's sad. It gives a funny image of physically kicking someone out the door while one hand is stretched all the way to the side so Alice still gets her pats. Or maybe one of Alice who's ignorant to the fact I'm throwing someone out the window in the background.

Because we've really have seen no change, it kinda weird, we watch the mc almost completely break his control over both of them just to force them both back to basically being robots. While I was expecting the mc to actually instead of forcing them back completely under his control, he was actually going to slightly under his control to the point they both had their original personalities back but still was under his control to the put they couldn't act against him. It would've given us two more interesting characters to work with instead basically just two drones.

He couldn't remember he tried it she went nuts and threatened him, he doesn't even have a decent grasp on how to use his powers yet and the dialogue tells you during the scene that big changes hurt him and her and may even be damaging, so it makes complete sense that he would want to take things slowly at first making little changes over time till they are basically back to normal why would he rush things when it could go horribly wrong.

The way I see it, this really is a make or break situation. His power to change them so drastically might potentially kill him, so he can't just go full boar into their attitudes with that looming threat. On top of that, Shatter breaks a person's will into a literal mold for you to use. My guess is that forcing these changes too hard could actually mindbreak them, where the girl isn't anything. Mindbroken girls are typically just living flesh lights at that point. They have no personality or even will to do basic things. Some of them don't even move. There's a real chance Gwen and Chloe could go into a vegetable state if he pushes this too hard.

The fact that she wants to fuck more than I do. In all seriousness, it's true the ex situation could have been really bad. My point was she's still Gwen. Even the yandere part of her may not entirely be because of the MC's powers.
It doesn't really matter if the yandere thing was there before he met her, I'm just saying that it's all that really needs changing about her.
EDIT Now that I think about it, I do feel bad for the ex too potentially, still not sure he deserves it. But coming into the manor was very stupid of him, he was asking for trouble there. And with the kind of connections Auntie Jessica has I don't know if him dying would have done that much...
Oh, totally stupid, busting into a guy's home like that is just asking to get shot. And I'm inclined to be conservative about Jessica's connections; remember most of them are with the Organisation, and he's trying to stay off their radar. Them having to cover up Mark's death would bring more scrutiny down on everybody involved.

Yea, im sure her "true desire" was to be a sex slave of a guy she just met
If you pay attention to the events, it's fairly clear that she was submissive/masochistic before she ever met him. Awaken simply turbocharged that, which explains why it didn't work when he tried to do the same to Chloe; she wasn't previously submissive.

Actually he doesn't tell her to be her old self for Alice, he tells her to 'be nice' to her, and Alice does notice.

At least I know that Emma is who's gonna rock the place. I kinda figured she was like tough as shit even when you bump into her and ask if a meteorite hit you. She is destroyer of worlds, the invincible warrior of the Earth.

And she's always rock hard for you.

Going to try that out now. Cautiously optimistic about the sub training; that's a fetish of mine, but it's done wrong more often than it's done right. The writing has been mostly good so far though, so I'm hopeful. Also with all this reworking old material, I'm going to have to start a new game at some point to see it. Not complaining about that though; a willingness to go back and improve old material rather than insisting on pushing forward with new content is a sign that you really care about making a good game rather than wanting big changelogs to lure new patrons in.
