The problem is that the debit cards are not accepted on most platforms that want Credit Cards. Thus the importance of PayPal, because that lets you use your bank account.
Though the end of Maestro and (probably) V-Pay may cause a change there.
But yeah, after some british pals of mine told me that SubStar accepts Debit as well I tried and failed. But that could be an issue with the old-school german debit cards (who use Maestro/V-Pay).
The point was more that PayPal cares about profit and less about "morals". There are people who are against it and they bring in more money than the stuff they want banned, thus PayPal bans it. Less because PayPal has any morals that object to it.
The second point I brought after the quoted part was that there could actually be legal reasons, since they operate globally. Lowest common (legal) denominator and so.
PayPal cares about profit, not morals. If playing moral brings you profit they will do so. When there is no benefit in "morality", they will re-allow such things.
You guys are getting too wrapped up in the credit card part. Visa, Mastercard and Discover aren't just credit card companies, they form the backbone of the payment processing network that extends internationally. A debit card does not sidestep this, because regardless what bank you have, it usually goes through their network (in the US). PayPal is not immune to this. You can't do business in the US if they ban you.
To make matters worse, when they ban a company (like when Pornhub had to delete some 90% of its videos to appease them), they tell every single financial institution they work with to blacklist said company. So you can't run credit cards, you can't run debit cards, your bank tells you your account is going to be closed down, and your customers' banks refuse to transfer money to your accounts. This allows them to have a de facto regulatory oversight on corporations, because if they go after you, you literally cannot handle money unless it's cash.
Patreon couldn't give a shit what people get off to. Patreon would also eat their own cock if it kept Visa and Mastercard from turning off the lights. Now, this isn't just Visa/Mastercard being dicks (though they absolutely are) it's because US legislation stated that it is illegal for financial institutions to do business with companies engaging in illicit behavior. What this means is ill-defined, especially in the case of platforms hosting other people's content, but rather than approach that (sex is politically unpopular unless it's harsher restrictions), they clamp down on anything that could constitute a risk to their business. For example, American Express bans all pornographic content from their entire payment network. Prudish fucks.
Basically, shitty legislation has resulted in shitty regulation that has resulted in payment processors acting as government enforcers that aren't actually beholden to or directed by government guidelines beyond outright illegality. If they ban a company, it's a private business action to reduce their own risk, and if said company tries to sue, how are they gonna pay their lawyers lol? OnlyFans had to ban explicit content until Visa/MasterCard gave them the all clear, because the other option was to literally just shutter the company.

Weird question but are the children set? Like, in terms of gender and design? Is it by chance for them to be born either male or female, or is it like always male/female?
Just started act 2, pixie said there was a way to view character cards by clicking heart at the top, maybe being blind but can't see any heart, so how do i view the cards?
I suspect it's set, as if each child could be either male or female it would need a lot more art. From memory, I think all but one of the children are female, the exception being Veronica's son. (Is Veronica the right name? I know it begins with V but I've had a memory lapse.)

If you are playing on pc: (but i suppose its the same on tablet and android)
If you dont have a black threeangel with 3 golden lines to the top left of your screen then i suppose you have 3 small golden lines on the black belt on the top of the screen. If you click on the 3 golden lines a quick menu with 6 icons will appear, now try klick on them 1 by 1 and see what they can be used for, the heart will be numser 2 from right. On the quickmenu you will also have the day count and day and timeperiod of the day.
Injoy the game, and i can garantee that you will get into trouble if you dont behave nicely to little wings aka pixie , the best caracter of the game

Like it was from 5-10 yrs ago it's somewhat acceptable but nowadays even john cena created OF account and patreon behaves like it's straight out baptized in February
The dice rolls kinda... suck. At least, for me because I've been losing hard. Is there a way to increase the dice values?

People are discussing arc three and my question as someone returning to this game since ages ago is: how the hell do I even start it? All my stats are maxed and so are the girls hearts. Right now it just says "no more in this version of the game" except for goblin mage, which says I need to go into act three.

Go to the war room and tell the game to auto win the combat however you wish. The combat sucks. If you really want to play legit only ways I know to increase dice are food in the kitchen, reinforcements when you head out to fight, and certain areas you conquer will give you a boosted dice, of course good luck winning that area. Unfortunately since act 3 is about the combat the enjoyment died since there is no longer choice and story and just auto win then generic dialog of characters we know nothing about.
Speaking of why are all these areas not controlled by the fey, eldrich, or organization and instead some random homeless people?
Thanks for that. I managed to upgrade the dice and things immediately got easier. It seems that there's actually an order to the fights, not that the game implies it. The order is as followed:
Mansion > Apartments > Bridge (then do the little cutscene and unlock the Shopkeep to get Elixirs) > Park > College > Old Club.
Defensive opponents are easier to handle than aggressive ones, since all you need to do is overpower them. Once getting the elixirs, I just use the DEF one so that I won't have to worry about getting murdered. There's no penalty for losing an attack after all. Additionally, using Goons to power up a dice from 4D to 6D really helps, plus swimming before a fight for that sweet +1.
Also, even though College and Park both are defensive, I found the girl at College to be surprisingly aggressive (hence why I kept losing to her). So I went against the Park twins first. I actually messed up the order in my playthrough and did the Bridge last (before the Old Club).
I can't believe I actually started to like the story of a porn game, or that this has happened three times lmao
