Patreon threw a tantrum not long ago and devs had to switch subscription managers. Now it's the Visa/Mastercard duopoly throwing a tantrum.

Patreon threw a tantrum because visa/mastercard. This is the same thing again. The reason you cant do hypno/incest/ect on Patreon is entirely because the CC companies had coniptions over it. Another one people probably forgot about was Pornhub going verified user only, nuking 80%~ of its content. That was again because credit card companies threatened to pull out. However in the PH case, its because there was too much revenge porn and other illegal acts being uploaded that the payment processors didnt want to be associated with. Not saying that was the right way to deal with it, mind you. Theres better options than going nuclear.

And based on what you say about what the Dev has been doing to this ...originally imaginative and interesting game/story... I'd guess that his focus is now (has been) more on the technology of coding and UI creation for the purpose of improving his own skills...OR...just that he LIKES messing around with code more now than he does the game itself.

Which leads to the sad conclusion that this game is effectively 'frozen solid' as far as continuing toward completion goes. He's playing with it, much like the Dev of another formerly great game who's name won't be mentioned (but rhymes with heavie-'live').

Short answer: It ain't dead, but it ain't goin' anywhere anymore. R. I. P.

Yeah, the dev really need to up the pace, and stop fucking around with established UI/story/basically everything, unless he wants his game to end up like innocent witches, like the game went from a silly investigation with some scenes, to a harem, to a full on war sim? Like is that guy off his meds or something?

Been around the block a few times before. Heard that song and dance before. I'll believe the massive content update that drops that makes 7+months of stagnation worth it when I see it materialise. THEN I will believe that he's not just coasting out teasing promises to extend the lifespan of his crowdfunding.

Besides his last 'massive content update' was extremely underwhelming. That battle system .. oh my.
