first time trying to tempt a chosen but is that normal that I can't tempt her a second time when I capture her while she is in the sky ?
You mean with a commander right? Commanders can’t do the tempt action, only surrounding them normally or using a forsaken with tempt can do that

I know people have done early game guides before but it seems like there's an influx of new players so I figured I would start doing a day-by-day. I only had time to do through Day 3 for now but I'll try to add on when there's time if this sort of thing is helpful.

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
This guide is also really good as well! I meant to say this in your intial post but I like that you brought up information the tactics that chosen employ like rally or distract since that’s something not brought up in guides, there have been people who were frustrated with their runs and not being able to break t1’s and a part of that is honestly that tactics like distract can reduce circumstance damage and it can stack so more awareness should be brought to it, I don’t know how far you want to continue but it’s a really solid guide and I hope you continue this as well! :D

Save would be helpful not for anyone else but it would be good for CSDev since I imagine they have developer tools to see what’s going on specifically, either way I’ll message CSDev on subscribestar about it when I’m home
Oh, uh, I can attach it but I kept playing after that, I think slot 3 was around where it happened? I was just using a normal commander to drag out as many adaptation activations as possible, noticed a chosen went above 1000% in something and momentarily thought I had a punisher commander equipped from popping one of the other's T4 the previous day.

Yeah... game is a bit easier with a girl that starts like this, lol.
Since you think that having a girl with multiple Breaks makes the game easier, I've attached a new save with zero Broken Vulnerabilities at the start. I literally opened the game, hit Customize, Full Random, then went in and removed all the Breaks and ran with it.
+1 Duration/+1 Capture on Day 10 but no EE to use it. Use the +1/+1 on Day 11. Double Suppressors on Day 12. 34 EE Day 13. 25 EE Day 14. 21 EE on Day 15, enough for Networked Consciousness (saves 101-107). At this point, all three Chosen are producing 5 EE/day and there's still the Day 15 event's bonus EE. It should be obvious the snowball is self-sustaining by this point.
I also included a branch where I actually played Days 1-10 instead of just hitting whatever basic action does the most Trauma (saves 201 and 202). I couldn't make anything useful happen, still hit +1/+1 on Day 10, but I haven't given that part of the game any thought for a long time so it's probably not optimal.

I don't claim to have the game figured out, but for the way I play, Chosen starting with Breaks do not make the game much easier. At best, they are easier to raise Angst on, so it's possible to get a Chosen to +2 EE/day earlier than normal if they happen to be your first. That's worth maybe one day saved. The save you were commenting on had the Broken Chosen show up last so she couldn't even help there. She was more of an obstacle than anything since I couldn't use her Breaks for bonus EE.
RNG does not matter or I have insane luck. I can't remember the last time I ran into a team I couldn't parley into >25 EE as soon as I get a +1/+1 Commander.

I'm surprised by how little Angst you've built up on them too by day 11.

The important thing here is it seems more accurate to say you rushed the +3 duration and +1 extra capture before double suppressors, that's what set things up to even make that possible. So it is shit early game, but has a breakpoint midgame after a T2 is broken while ignoring some prereqs for double suppressors.
The +1/+1 Commander is the first one I field; double Suppressors is the second one, one day later. I said I rush double Suppressors (INJU/EXPO), +1 Duration, and +1 Capture. I feel like that's a fair statement.
We also seem to disagree on what constitutes early game. To me, anything prior to Day 10 might as well not exist; early game is ~Day 10 until Networked Consciousness; late game is the T4 grind. As far as I can tell, no decisions made before Day 10 (as long as you make sure to build enough Angst on the day a Chosen arrives for 1 EE/day) have significant impact because of the exponential nature of the damage increases. You can squeak out some more Angst or Break a Minor Vulnerability by playing well in the first 10 days, but it doesn't get you upgrades much sooner.

I definitely feel similarly about it [...]
Thanks for the answer. I guess I didn't overlook anything and this new Distortion is just a little different. I guess I'll check back next patch. Happy Corrupting folks.

I wasn't trying to throw shade at you, I just realized that I was terrible at judging how easy/difficult something in this game is to accomplish from screenshots or descriptions alone. It looked like what you did wasn't possible and then I did it and was like "Oh", lol. I more meant that the girl has Minor Morality/Confidence with Core in Dignity btw. That's basically the perfect girl that I aim for on rerolls if I want to have an easy start. She couldn't be much better for my favorite start.

You're right, that's a bug. I believe I've found what's happening here. The option menu for having the Thralls take an action immediately after a surround doesn't share the same code as the normal one, and the bug is in that menu specifically. If you do a different action this turn, then the Tempt option should show up next turn. Sorry for the trouble, it'll be fixed in the next version.
Actually, not sure this is quite right. Surrounded Paladin, chose tickle. She's at 100k pleasure, tempt should theoretically be available.

So I have been playing this for about a week and I really like it. Been mostly playing with cheat mode enabled since I can't really seem to get the hang of breaking the chosen within the time limit. I just have a few suggestions that the dev may or may not already be considering.

My first suggestion/request is can we add a cheat menu to combat that allows up to edit the chosen's parameters in combat and maybe add a toggle for god mode or something similar? Also related to the cheat menu, can we be able to edit the corruption progression of the chosen if it doesn't break the game? Or atleast if that isn't possible at least let us edit % for the final tier corruption since that seems to me to be the most grindy part since its depended on the chosen themselves to increase the percentage.

My next suggestion is a way to corrupt and turn to your side the chosen before the final battle. Maybe make it require them to be fully corrupted. To not mess to much with the flow of the game, you could have them stay and keep their cover in combat, and have them turn on their team during the final battle by making them come in and immediately be at 0 resolve, while maybe dealing resolve damage to the rest of their team, the amount depending on their relationships. Rivals would probably take the least amount of damage while friends would take the most.

My third suggestion would be adding physical descriptions to the chosen, like overall body type, breast, hip, butt, and genital size. As it is right now, the only thing is the pictures that come with each of the chosen which is fine for taking care of hair, eye, and skin color, but I feel like for the non-custom chosen they should have a range of descriptors.

My final suggestion is probably my most minor since it mostly just caters to my fetish, can we have more pregnancy content, at least with the forsaken? We already have a bit of impregnation and breeding, and with the fourth tier of Morality pregnancy. But I feel like you should be able to breed your forsaken and get descriptions of then going through pregnancy instead of getting a single line in between each day when you pass. I could see if you have a forsaken that is pregnant in a battle against the magical girls, they would could taunt using their pregnancies.

Yeah, I was relating more to the minor vuln in Morality and confidence with core pleasure on first girl too, as you can start snowballing her without much issue with easy HATE and INJU levels, while getting free 1-turn openings with disgust. Already broken tiers are more of a detriment on such girls, because that's basically free EE.

You ever tried comment system? Seems like you can record your campaign step by step and export it, if I read the docs right, but I can't figure out how to use it. Would be interesting to see what strats you use.

I'm tempting a chosen, but what is the advantage, and do I need to continue to tempt her or it only reduce the necessary for the final battle ?

Once she's been tempted once, you'll be able to Corrupt her in the final battle by tempting. IIRC she needs something like 900k pleasure to tempt in the final battle and it goes down 100k every time you tempt her before then.

So it's an easier way to fully corrupt in the final battle than spamming the Trauma+ actions. The other advantage is that a Forsaken who was Tempted in the final battle has different stats than normal Forsaken but I have almost no experience with Forsaken so someone else can probably explain better.

So I am trying out a non cheat playthrough and I am having an insanely hard time. I am at day 36 and I have not a single corruption progress except what the chosen have started with. My main issue is how are you able to get EE? Its taken me 30 days for 2 chosen to give me 2 EE every day and the other one is still only giving me 1.

Your run is a bit fucked at that point tbh, you might be able to salvage it slightly but it's probably best to start over. I'd guess you haven't unlocked the right skills at the right points.

Quick skill order guide I'd recommend for early game is: Psychic Reading > Fast Breeders > Wide Deployment > Enhanced Polymorphism > Weakness Sense > Focus > Patience > Eager Breeders > Persistence > Cunning.

You usually don't want to spend EE on anything else before that. That'll unlock the +1 Capture, +2 Turn Commander that makes breaking +2 and T1 Vulns much easier (At 5 EE cost). You can usually reach that by day 10-13 and start snowballing towards unlocking Networked Consciousness that is your big mid game boost (I'm guessing you haven't unlocked that yet). My guide here isn't quite up to mid game yet, but it might help. There's also a skill table there to see what you have to buy to unlock shit.

I agree that if you haven't got any t1 breaks yet at day 36 to reset, Experiment a bit with your current setup if you can, it may suck but starting over with that exact same team would be good since you're already familiar with their habits, even if only a little bit.

If you'd like you can post a screenshot here as well of the team and the people on the forum can give you some pointers here, either way a lot guides here can help you learn the overall flow

Basicallly What Doctor Shark said below, the only thing I'd add is their stats would be same the in terms of how many vulnerabilities were broken and the types they were, but they do have a trait/perk where they do 50% more Pleasure and Exposure Damage no matter what as Forsaken

Just want to swing by and say this game is freakin awesome, thank you.

I love spreadsheet sex but this takes it to a whole new level.

Any plans of expanding on pregnancy? How about more with inflation? :devilish:

Will we be able to field more than one Forsaken at some point? I want my girls to dog pile the Chosen :devilish:

I'm playing R29 and I'm having a little trouble replicating this but I think I'm having an issue with Networked Consciousness again:

I have two Aversion Distortion Chosen and one generalist and I'm on the final battle. If I have both ADCs in a Defiler+ and my third Chosen starts an Orgy, both of the ADCs have their resolve broken. If I have one ADC and the generalist in a Defiler+ and I have the other ADC already surrounded before starting an Orgy, both of the ADCs have their resolve broken. BUT if I have one ADC and the generalist in a Defiler+ and I surround the other ADC and start an Orgy on the same turn then only she has her resolve broken and the other one does not.

Unrelated note: in one run I broke resolve on both the ADCs but the generalist got away. However, she pulled out a knife and killed herself. Haven't seen that before. And then I got an epilogue that I also haven't seen before... I'm guessing it only triggers if no Chosen survives and at least one dies? What struck me is that they said that all of the Chosen died... not sure if that's unintended or if you're supposed to assume they don't know about the Forsaken. Either way, I thought it was a pretty cool campaign scene and am kind of disappointed that you don't get to see it except in what seem to be pretty narrow circumstances.

Third thing: I'm sure it's in this thread somewhere but I can't find it in the guide or training guide. How (if at all) do broken vulnerabilities affect Forsaken? Does it matter what type of vulnerability they were (Minor/Significant/Core)? I could have won a few days earlier but held off to finish breaking everyone's T4s and then realized I have no idea if that matters at all.

To your bug report, if you have a save of that day, could you upload it here as well? From the sound of it definitely is a bug

second thing, did that generalist have her t4 confidence broken? I’m trying to remember if I saw the scene for that but one other thing I’ll add is that if the chosen has any t4’s broken on her and she’s the only one left in the final battle (whether their teammates are dead turned into forsaken) they won’t show up again in another loop and she usually will have an grim epilogue like that, t4 morality is really dark too as well iirc since they basically get frozen by the government because they can’t die until humanity forgets them and they basically go crazy

Vulnerability breaks do affect the corruption values on your forsaken so you weren’t wasting your time :D

and the type of vulnerability does matter, minor vulnerabilities will mean it’ll be the highest corruption values, core vulnerability will give the lowest and significant will be in the middle of the road

CSDev has said the update for this month will deal with a lot of quality of life improvements, one of which is a reference sheet for forsaken as well :D
