Yay! I’m really happy you’re enjoying the game so far and congratulations on your victory as well! Getting the hang of the game is huge undertaking but you once you get the flow down, loops and what you need to do will feel much easier, and that’s when you’ll be able to plan out how you want your forsaken to be as soon as they all show up as chosen, especially since you managed to get an orgy off, getting one of those is the turning point in just about every loop imo so being able to do it consistently to teams is a good goal to shoot for next!Just want to pop in and say this game is actually pretty incredible. Soaked up several days for me. Took me a few tries but by the time I was finally figuring it out I got all 3 Chosen. Took a lot of early-game restarts and then just sticking with one until things clicked. Couldn't get any T4 breaks that one.
Next game was much more successful. Realistically I probably could have won on Day 46, and should have, but I didn't know the extra days are given to Training. Save scumming felt like it was pretty much a must. especially early/mid-game. Found myself doing it a lot from days 12-25. I just consider it using "time bending" powers to go back a day. After the first "orgy" though, completely obliterated angst. Made the last T3 breaks extremely chaotic but it was fun. Game becomes significantly easier imo the further along the corruption is.
Forsaken training is super confusing, though. Thanks for the write-ups Kalloi. Two of my chosen are double damage (HATE/PLEA) (PLEA/EXPO). Any advice on what to do with them? I'm not too sure what "Expertise" does. From what I can tell it just increases damage of a certain type and increases with training types, so if I'm reading it correctly I could turn my (HATE/PLEA) into (HATE/EXPO) with the right training?
well, you can create a custom team or chosen (in campaing), then select the vulnerabilities to be broken (or not, as that is what you want). Is there a way to disable pre-broken vulnerabilities (maybe by generating a specific team of chosen), or somehow overcome them and force a distortion?
Congratz on your win! What you should do with your forsaken depends on the forsaken you currently have in the campaign and what sort of things you're lacking in terms of early/mid/late game stage options for your forsakenI got this three forsaken after wining, Any advice on how I should train them ? The tempted was bitter enemy with the two others and the two others are best friends.
Lol I wouldn't worry too much about it, once you get back into the groove of it I'm sure you'll be hitting those high points again!Man, I am out of practice... Trying to do a campaign run after putting the game down for several months, and I haven't even gotten a Tier 4 break by day 45. At least I've gotten a Chosen onto the Negotiation distortion... On day 44... Woof.
sent a message about this to CSDev, ty for spotting it!View attachment 1855045 I dont think ive seen it reported yet, but I got a typo in the total dignity break using parasitism. The second paragraph, when it talks about her infested garb. (herinfested)
If this is campaign, I'd say sacrifice chosen 3 to get the +1 EE and mainly train the tempted one in expo.I got this three forsaken after wining, Any advice on how I should train them ? The tempted was bitter enemy with the two others and the two others are best friends.
Sorry for the late response, I'm finishing up the last designs on my portrait pack as well a some extra bits to add to the full version but I wholeheartedly agree! It really recontextualizes how you look at loop and the chosen you're going up against, instead of looking at their vulnerabilities and thinking the best way to beat them, you're now looking at how those vulnerabilties and relationships will make them as forsaken. Instead of wanting to wipe the floor with them you want to act with more precision, making the game more challenging once the first learning curve is past you, and I'm glad to help! CSDev is thinking about some interface changes to the training that will hopefully be more intuitive in terms of fighting styles and training them so maybe that will help with making training objectives more definable and understandable. If you have any other questions feel free to let me know! Right now I'm writing up a little tutorial for training forsaken and I have an example forsaken and scenario created to highlight one of the benefits of a forsaken with a well matched-fighting style and the impact it can have on loops so hopefully it'll be helpful.Wow thank you! This is a massive help, I didn't even think about the EE deployment and how it will relate to when I'll be able to send them out. I'm actually going to need to do some experimenting but I think now I can at least formulate a plan for what I want to do long-term. For example, my HATE/PLEA Forsaken is a 31 cost so I should work on getting her to around 3 (I think I'll do HATE/PLEA/INJU) but my PLEA/INJU one is only 9 cost. Also, the talk about training is huge, I didn't get it with how the guide was written but you helped me get the multi-training effects to click. I'll be back with results, I hope!
What's even more hilariously appealing to me is that training Forsaken adds another level of corruption onto the already massive corruption-based gameplay from actually fighting them. Definitely loving the double-down on it.
Yeah I started to lose track of the days after the interview. I got too sloppy and ended up wasting too many days. I at least captured Faith (the negotiation chosen) so it wasn't a complete wash. That said, they're completely unusable at a hefty 330 EE to deploy XDLol I wouldn't worry too much about it, once you get back into the groove of it I'm sure you'll be hitting those high points again!
And negotiation is a bit easier to hit once you can get an 3-4 turn orgy on the team, it varies but either using a forsaken or a HATE/INJU commander body with versality and 2+ capture charges helps me out at times. Some team combinations still fuck me up tho haha
Loop 2 I'm with Midnight/Pain on the same team and omg this is so hard. Both of Midnight's cores are Pain's already broken minors. I'm struggling here but I did manage to get one of my low-cost Forsaken to HATE/EXPO. Third try on Loop 2. I will persist! Some team combinations still fuck me up tho haha
You got this!Loop 2 I'm with Midnight/Pain on the same team and omg this is so hard. Both of Midnight's cores are Pain's already broken minors. I'm struggling here but I did manage to get one of my low-cost Forsaken to HATE/EXPO. Third try on Loop 2. I will persist!
Thanks for the bug report. It turned out that the import/export function ended up getting very bugged. But it'll be fixed in the next release, and new campaigns made in the next version will be exportable and importable in a way that lets you keep the same random seed and custom roster. Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but in an attempt to learn the game, I downloaded Kallois portrait pack, and saw the tutorial with the imported save. Imported the save, started up, and as soon as I finished the first encounter, no matter what, I would click continue and be have no options at the bottom of my screen unless I resized the window, where I could once again choose what upgrade I wanted. However, upon choosing any upgrade, but in this case physic reading, and clicking confirm, I can again no longer click any option at the bottom of the screen, one is blue and neither are clickable. Upon trying the same resize the window trick, It got rid of the continue and cancel button completely, and I was unable to do anything with my window to get any button back. On a normal campaign however, I can get past day 1 easily and buy upgrades no problem. I think there's something wrong with importing or exporting saves.
It isn't possible to edit characters in the current version, but it's planned that you'll be able to do so in the next version.Sorry took a while got busy today. Okay I did have a look and I did made a mistake when naming them on the game and put a letter in the wrong place lol so fixed now, but is there a way to edit characters?
When there's a "?" it means that one of your Forsaken would be able to break the Vulnerability if you gave her the appropriate Punisher position (and because you can put the same Forsaken in multiple positions at once, it counts Forsaken that are already currently in other positions). When there's a "!" it means that your current Forsaken Punisher in that position will be able to break the Vulnerability. And the "/", as before, means that you can break the Vulnerability even without any special Forsaken abilities. What's that "?" mark on T4 INN? I started seeing it since the newest update, dunno if it's always been there. "/" usually indicates the vulnerability can be broken, but this one shows up when the Punisher effectiveness almost reaches the break threshold, which is 250% in this case. Something to do with having a Forsaken assigned to a Punisher position?

You aren't doing anything wrong, but it is intended that the game scrambles up the teams, because dealing with random enemy lineups is one of the features of campaign mode. But I do see that being able to set up your own static gauntlet of teams to fight could be fun too, so I'm planning on adding something like that as a separate mode.Apologies for being dumb, but how do you import a roster for campaign mode? The way it currently stands, when generating full custom teams, I can only import one of the three unless I go into solo play, play until all are revealed, then save that file, then import them that way. It also doesnt keep the teams together from what I saw, which is a bummer when you're wanting to build several teams for campaign.
Or am I doing it wrong and just should play campaign base w/o customized heroines?
Thanks for the feedback. Now that the Forsaken training system is looking to be close to its finished state, I'm looking into ways to make it present information to the player in a more understandable manner.I finished the first city by capturing two heroines, but I admit I found the documentation on their management and training part a bit cryptic and not really user friendly. Getting into the game mechanics already required a very steep learning curve, the feeling is to be faced with a game in the game even more complex than the main game.
I think it's a shame, because I have to say that this is one of my favorite titles ever, but it should focus more on the introductory part, a guided campaign, tutorials or more specific in-game tips. It would help many like me, who despite having the patience to learn the logic behind the game, but do not have the hours to experiment and trial and error, to approach the game and enjoy it.
I finished the second city last week, without ever having deployed a Forsaken, and now I have 4 heroines to train in a mandatory way, but I don't really know how to do it ...
ps: an honorable mention for Kalloi, without his tutorial, I think I would have wasted three times the time understanding certain mechanics. Thank you very much.
You've pretty much got it - it's all about showing how they act at their current corruption level. It doesn't actually progress their corruption further. How does the Approach stuff you can access from the info menu work? I'm currently doing a single play where I've managed to get one chosen up to T4 in everything and one to T4 in everything except exposure. When I approach them, the demon lord can fuck them and orgasm, but sooner or later they either pass out or their hatred gets too high. Can you even achieve anything in Approach mode, or is it just there to showcase Chosen corruption?
Some of these are things I'd like to include in the game, but I'm wary about tying it to very high % corruption levels, since the game is already a bit grindier than I'd prefer.I kinda feel like Hypnosis is underused for the potential it offers.
My suggestion would be an option to "pass time" (in other words, no attack) where you focus your psychic power on calling one of the hypnotized magical girls back to your hive where you could spend Evil Energy to more deeply brainwash (alter attack patterns to fantasize more, become inclined to join in a surround to "help", personality alteration to shift weaknesses how you would like them, implant addiction to certain attack types) and/or do body modification (increase bust/ass to increase exposure effectiveness, lewd crest curse to inflict periodic/constant arousal, enhanced fertility to lower minimum impregnation requirements, overly sensitive skin to induce stripping, etc) on the girl. Maybe if Hypnosis gets to 2000% the girl just submits completely to your control and becomes a Forsaken with a blank Doll personality for you to then decide what personality you want to "install".
Could expand the others, like Impregnation getting the girl so addicted to pumping out demons that at 2000% she just abandons to come to your Hive as a Special Breeder that passively increases your Thrall maximum even on subsequent runs. Drain at 2000% could cause the girl to submit to becoming a generator, giving you Evil Energy even in subsequent runs.
Thanks for catching this typo. It'll be fixed in the next version.View attachment 1855045 I dont think ive seen it reported yet, but I got a typo in the total dignity break using parasitism. The second paragraph, when it talks about her infested garb. (herinfested)
True the game is quite grindy... since the numbers need to get so huge I often times use cheat engine to bump initial numbers up so I can get to the fun part of the corruption. Even with that I have to be very careful or I have endless turns of the girls not using the adaption I want them to use. It took me awhile to figure out how to reliably stack striptease procs. Some of these are things I'd like to include in the game, but I'm wary about tying it to very high % corruption levels, since the game is already a bit grindier than I'd prefer.
