Could someone help me with forsaken training?

I've got to round 3 and have the alt city route unlocked

I went with the negotiation distortion for all 3 chosen

I've got 2 days of training in loop 3 and I think 11 in loop 4

I know I want the top one to be an ANTI breaker but I'm not sure what to do with the Superior

I've messed around quite a bit but I've run into two main problems

1. I can't get the cost down significantly without adding EXPO/ keeping EXPO as a damage
2. I definitely feel like I'm not utilising the Superior(Freedom) properly, they just seem much weaker than other superior I've had in my previous run, and are less useful at 10EE and 1000% PLEA than the 6EE with 1000% EXPO.

(I'm aware of the damage types and how they interact but I had a superior forsaken in a previous run at the same cost and damage type that was much stronger so clearly I'm doing something wrong)

Anyway if anyone has any advice to train them it's appreciated.

I wonder if there is some event or whatever that mentions the family of the Chosen or something, or if it is just flavor text and all that. I do ponder what they do after the chosen in question goes full murderhobo or just becomes Forsaken and takes over the city.

Damn this one had a full-ass Mexican family, imagine all the screaming in that house! No wonder she is the outcast of the current trio, I would become Sasuke in that atmosphere too!

you can activate family ties in options. If you use a forsaken as "bait" the game will generate either a best friend or a sister for her at the next loop(bait is one of positions like favourite, second in command...)

the game has layers. I started it at around 12 or 14 , found it interesting but I was unable to do anything . Then one day I entered the forum and there was a faq . Later I decided to read all 40 or 50 changelogs (this was last year or so) most of the gameplay is there, explained in the changelog from csdev
Since that chosen has 11 family members you can use her as bait 11 times, until the game starts generating friends, aunts mothers grandmothers! and everything in between

Yo, just for the developer to know, there is this strange bug that came my way in the new version where after making up a basic-ass commander and then going to battle by hitting [confirm] instead of the battle actually starting the game just kept rolling over and over on the command [confirm] and never started the battle. Clicking [cancel] just returns me back to before the battle but trying battle again just makes the bug repeat itself.

I have this problem as well, if you load a save it fixes it, so if this happens just make a save and load it and you should be good

So I've just beaten loop 7 and beaten Reign, I can't see any unique traits for her so is she just treated as a base forsaken?
I know there are the vulnerability break bonuses and the distortion bonus but I'm talking about the bonuses useful in battle given to superiors and above?

I just had a thought about a mechanic that could help this game for those of us (me) who suck at it.
New Game+, where each time you lose (or complete the entire story?) you get cumulative skill points that can be used to provide permanent buffs to make future attempts easier.
I would say games like Vampire Survivors and Rogue Legacy 2 are pretty good examples of what I am talking about, because it also allows defeat to not feel like a true game over, more like a menacing, "see you later."

is anyone gonna update the links? we're on 65 but the front page only gives 63
Personally, I wish someone would link a very simple guide to forsaken in OP. Whenever I step away from this game for a long time, I forget everything and it's a chore to hunt down specific tips regarding vulnerabilities that I've forgotten like how to maintain dignity for potential forsaken candidates.

haven't honestly played much since there hasn't been much new content I can access, but how do you get those "Seductive" and "Humiliating" Approaches for humanoid Punishers touted back in 62? the only punisher option that leaves the commander vaguely humanoid seems to be impregnation, but I tried sending him out against chosen multiple times but I'm not seeing an option anywhere at all here

Report and link the new version, there is a specific button in the report box for game updates for a reason, as for most OPs, especially when it's a mod, they usually aren't keeping up with the game and wont know if there is an update without someone telling them.

Don't have a screenshot or save file for this but had a bug happen to me the other day involving Hot Tag.

Used a Forsaken with Orgy in addition to the Demon Commander via Hot Tag. I started an orgy with said Forsaken, wanted to switch to my Demon Commander when only 1 turn of the Orgy remained so I can capture a flying Chosen the next turn and that locked up the game.
Thanks for the bug report. I had thought that I'd accounted for all the cases where the game could get confused about whether you had a deployed Forsaken or not due to the Hot Tag, but it looks like I missed this one. It's been fixed in R65.
Any word on using EE to modify forsaken? With all the new chosen, a few extra percent of damage is going to be useful.
It isn't planned for this to be a regular gameplay feature, since I don't want to require players to grind for EE after the loop is already effectively won. But something like it might be implemented along with the next set of cheat options.

There's not enough info here for me to figure out what's causing the game to lock up. If you send me your save, I can take a look.

Currently, Reign's Chosen form is fully implemented, but her Forsaken form isn't, because properly obtaining Reign as one of the Forsaken is going to be tied to the campaign route system. In the complete version, getting her to 0% Resolve without meeting the right conditions will just cause her to run away (though it might give some other benefit to acknowledge the difficulty of corrupting her to that point).

I'm avoiding doing this because I don't want to ever implement any content that actually requires grinding for skill points or whatever. And if players are all on even footing, then there's no need to worry about one player sharing a strategy that requires grinding a bunch first, and new players finding that the strategy doesn't work for them. That said, the game will eventually have more difficulty options, and the present "default" difficulty won't be the lowest one.

I saw in the Discord that you got the answer for this, but I figure it'd be good to put an answer here for anyone later who comes along:

The "humanoid Demon Commander" option is a separate flavor option which becomes visible after you've used the "Approach" option to meet with one of the Chosen from the Info menu. It allows you to take one of the bodies you've used to meet with the Chosen and send it into battle against them.
