Can anyone tell me why endgame forsaken posted on this forum usually has increased max motivation instead of increased HATE damage?
I don't usually have a problem dealing with their tantrums, so I have no idea what other benefits would it give over the increased HATE damage

Tempted undead do extra damage based on their motivation, maybe that?

Can't be for that reason, Tempted would mean they didn't get a HATE total break.

Minor Morality + Significant Dignity gives a punisher which increases self Motivation.

Though I would say if you are going for tempted undead the best choice is one with Minor Morality, Significant Innocence and confidence, Core Dignity which gives self Inju damage + Trauma damage increasing punishers. The combat type being Wild(Inju/Expo) with tempt defiler.

Here is an example -

Crimson
Reputation Strength: 102% , 9 ee cost
20% stamina + 5%Motivatoon cost(From Hypnosis)

Combat style is unfocused because I have Prism in this run. Probably the most broken item in the game. I also have another tempted undead at 3ee cost with extra trauma damage from parasitism whom I can deploy day 1 with the ee from Sacrifice achievement to get things going.

Ps: Don't increase trauma damage too much or you will end up breaking t3s early.

Isnt it better to break t3 as fast as possible? I have trouble doing that

I guess it's personal preference. I like to break all 3 chosen at the same time. So rather than getting t3 break as soon as they are possible, I like to wait till I can get a big enough of an orgy to get unlock all possible ones.

There are also some t3 breaks which you should avoid triggering first anyways if you want to maximize damage. Especially the Hate and Plea breaks for Angel chosen.

So, apparently getting a distortion off on Reign counts as a vulnerability break. So triggering one will bump you up one level on her resistance, and will count for the loop 7 skip requirement.

It would help if the wording on Demonic Resonance and/or Fisher King noted that distortions counted as a vulnerability break. Might also help if the campaign map included this.

Also, think I figured out what triggered my earlier issue with being unable to approach or start a battle - I think there's an issue when loading the day start autosave. Still not sure what triggers it, but I'm only seeing it when I do that.

Also, why does this happen? It seems like there's occasionally a 1 turn delay when capturing Reign, and I'm not sure exactly what triggers that.

For referenced - Targeted her with Joyride on round 22, damage was dealt, but the text sounds like Reign immediately escaped capture, and round 23 Joyride's "Prepared to capture Reign". Seems to happen after Reign has a vulnerability break. This also allows you to target Reign with attacks on the round she's captured a second time.

The Elemental Loop Skip doesn't seem to be working. First time around I didn't get the alt route unlocked at the top so I went back to an earlier save (where I definitely wasn't over 5 days) and passed the time all the way to the final battle but it still didn't show up. Upon completing the final battle and getting to the next city option the alt route also doesn't show up there.

Getting an extra energy can be quite useful, but it depends on a lot of factors. If you've got one with bad stats, no immediately useful punishers, and an unfriendly relationship with the other two, then it's probably a good idea.

The game runs mostly on sheer mathematics where small choices early on can snowball down the line and make/break the run. There are some guides included in the game files themselves that can help point you in the right direction but it can get complicated fast. Basically, you start off by slowly chipping away at the weaknesses of the Chosen based on their personalities. Eventually, you'll be able to use the damage inflicted from surrounding them to start breaking vulnerabilities which will corrupt them and make them start doing actions that give you more evil energy. You use this energy to purchase upgrades and create stronger commanders to continue to chip away at their psyche until you get to the point where you can destroy their resolve before the final battle. The relationships between the damage types, the personalities, and the traumas are the most important mechanics to get under your belt.

Haven't checked this out in a couple of years. Do you still have to beat and rape the shit out of the heroines to corrupt them, or are there more genteel methods now?

Mostly, yes. There is a setting you can toggle to make the violence less overt, And the Temptation and Negotiation distortions are more consent based, but the main loop is still to traumatize the chosen in order to corrupt them.

I kinda wish there was a vignette checklist/planner in-game for each chosen like distortions do, because flipping between the notepad and game trying to see one of these can be a bit annoying, especially if it's one of the ones with triggers you can lock yourself out of.
