Got a game breaking bug, happened after completing Loop 22 and persisted in loop 23, essentially ALL of my Forsaken were losing motivation daily. They were not tantruming (in the beginning at least) but they were all losing between 7 and 11 motivation per day. I'm not sure what's causing it

Edit: Nvm, found out it was the devil Forsaken I just got *facepalms*

If you add portrait packs with folder names that are not in the unmodded game, will chosen with that new name ever appear in game randomly? Or do you always need to create a custom character?

So with the mechanical chosen I feel like I'm missing something. I get that you need to get breaks before the operations are done, but what happens when you're planning to do a distortion and there simply aren't enough vulnerabilities to break? May only be an issue if the minors are already broken but thats the trouble I've run into

As previously stated, no. For this purpose there are custom rosters, aka specifically created characters that will show up at one point or other.

Might be the first game that still leaves me confused after a lot of guides lmao, I really need like a documentation or something that explains every terms in the game.

I think I did something unexpected.

I had a mechanical chosen enact "Operation: Observe Demonic Battle Tactics"

seeing I had 3 days before I could target the mech chosen I spent the next three days training a chosen

it now says "Takes 10% circumstance damage even when targetable (Can now be targeted)" but if I go into battle it will not let me target the chosen

EDIT Skipping one more day fixes this, so it may just be an off by one error

Yeah it is weirdly complicated and after going through the (excellent) SuperSkippy ingame guide and reading some bonus guides on the website, I still only kinda get what I'm supposed to be doing.

Also, I kinda wish there was more to the non-combat parts of the game. There's only so much interaction and character moments you can have on the battlefield, and it becomes kind of repetitive after a while. The vignettes and other post-combat stuff are really good and sorely needed, but I wish there was a way to interact with them. Even something relatively simple like giving the player a choice or two for how to corrupt the heroines in the various scenarios (especially the ones involving Thralls, where choices would make a lot of sense!) would, I think, give a lot more personality to a playthrough, and something to look forward to other than "pummel humiliate, okay how do I get an efficient surround on the second hero" over and over again.

This is not meant as criticism btw, I think it's a brilliant game, which is why I'd really like to like it more.

I think it's good, though has a big issue on communicating it's mechanics, for example, I still have no idea what forsaken even means, I know it's the Chosen, but how exactly they become one is not explain in the game nor guide.

I did try SuperSkippy's guide up to day 12 or 15, but I misclick after 3 hours in, actually painful since I don't have any save lol. Don't want to repeat it yet so I just kept playing from what I know.

I'm still confused as to what's the goal of the game though, corrupting the MG sure, but are we like trying to make them join our side or something?, like we can use them to fight the other chosen on the next playthrough or something like that?

The exact same thing happened to me on my first time through the guide, lol. It was something mega stupid too, like when upgrading my Commander I clicked on Extra Captures first instead of Extra Duration (the guide wanted me to buy Duration first, then Captures), and that was it, the guided playthrough was permafucked.

I did give it another try though (saving often), and I'm glad I did, it's a very good walkthrough. Although like I said, the game is still confusing.

As to the goal, yes, pretty much. If you're playing Campaign mode, each "loop" is you fighting against three Chosen. Once you break them, you can turn them into Forsaken (ex-Chosen who fight for you), and I think there are also other options? Not sure though, I didn't do much in Loop 2 yet. Anyway, you fight in a new city each time, and new mechanics slowly get introduced, making the Chosen more powerful, but also giving you more ways to deal with them.

From what I've read in the game and the guide, it seems like the best goal you want to achieve is following a distortion plan which is going to make them stronger as a forsaken?, that's a bit hard though. Also does that mean that after I defeat all the three Chosen in loop 1, I need to make a new Chosen again?, I guess that make sense.

Yeah I think distortion plans are for when you fully understand the mechanics. Although you can set a distortion plan mid-game, and then I think you get a warning for any actions that would fuck up that plan, which is a nice bit of design and makes it a bit less daunting.

Anyway, you also get options to train broken Chosen after a loop is done, so you can still kind of mold them into the kind of Forsaken you want, although I don't know how well those training options work. They are fun, though! That's one more reason I'd recommend going through the SuperSkippy guide: it ends after the first loop, and you can check out all the cool training options, like locking the Chosen into a pillory, giving her aphrodisiacs, siccing unbeatable super-Thralls on her, and so on. Lots of cool scenes you don't see during the loop.

Welp I already broke a lot of their personalities, so a bit late to do distortion, I was about to restart but nah, I'm already too far into the game.

All chosen you beat with a distorion gain a special trait and defiler. You can look them up in forsaken reference.txt if youre interested :)

Distorion plans, imo, rely heavily on achieving early orgies to quickly hit tier 3 break thresholds. I've had by far the best luck starting with the item 'tomorrow's newspaper', which enables all commander upgrades and refunds commander upgrade purchases half of your items rounded up in evil energy.

Using that item you can, for example, start with a 1 cost commander with a pleasure or injury punisher on day 2. This generally lets you get 2-3 surrounds so that your initial chosen instantly starts yielding 2 EE a day. You can also use them to break a tier 0 vulnerability instantly, which gives you 2 EE and thus refunds the commander cost. If youre lucky you can end up with 3 EE on day 3, letting you deploy a punisher with 2 captures, which is generally enough to either hit both chosen to 2 EE or 1 of them to 5.

Also, not needing to invest in commander upgrades means you can spend excessive EE on commanders to really snowball the bullying :D

Spectacular roster is ready, enjoy! It involves 23 chosen, all of them being from certain species. This one is for "Spectacular Species" portrait pack.
