i really hope nothing happen to the creator hes honesty never this late and usually post his release dates/previews a day earlier due to where he lives ive been checking his site every 30 mins - 1hr -_-
If he was being told to change stuff by Patreon, wouldn't the page be put under review?
Sucks to hear Research Into Corruption got hit, I don't play that often but I do keep an eye out for it.
I just don't understand why Patreon suddenly started this witch hunt against "innapropriate" things when they were completely ok and even sorta welcoming of it (compared to other platforms), it's just so retarded. At the end of the day it's money to them all the same so what do they care?
I hope he doesn't change the game because of it. He can just post the game elsewhere and leave Patreon as just donation service, but that makes the early releases harder to do.

Yep patreon doesn't seem to give a flying fuck about all the animation studios who are basically nothing but ANIMAL RAPES WOMAN but those honey select models are just too controversial!
Yeah but FOW has 4000 patreons and while I don't know how much people pay I know most of the content is locked behind a $50 pay wall so If we assume 50% are paying for that your looking at $10,000. Patreon takes a 10% cut so they're paying easily a grand a month to the company. I want to know how subversive is doing, after being blatently against there rules and is more of a mid tier thing.
If your smaller you are going to get hit because you're paying them less. Eventully though this purge is going to get interesting. When the do have to go after FOW or somthing as big. Then we'll see if the want to be holyer than though or go the VHS route.

It's not just a cheat mod, but more a mod to improve your experience will playing the game and make it a little less frustrating. It do the following thing :
- Replace the randomized events by a choice given to the player.
- Speed up the corruption leveling ; one potion is enough to reach the next level.
- Permit you to free/enslave back your slave... well, it will permit it when the game will have more that just the mother as slave.
It also add a small cheat mod (money, potions and gas potions).
More explanations and the mod itself on the said mod thread. Oh, and it's a none intrusive mod. Just drop the files in the game directory and it will work, or remove the files if you don't like the mod, and the game will still works.

I think if it wasn't for porn games patreon wouldn't be a thing. Most in-development norma' games use steam for funding and while content creators use it to supplement or gain income. Porn creators (games and sfm) can really only use patreon for funding.
After doing a bit of digging I think patreon is looking for a way to make more money, they've talked about making a flat rate charge on patron's rather than the 10% off the top.
I'd say the people at the top are either looking for a better return on investments or failing this selling the company. Because of the possible sale, they're trying to get rid of any porn or adult content that would ward of buyers. The problem is some of the companies top earners are porn based.
I kinda hope someone in the company realizes that a 10% cut is really good considering the workload on patreon's side but more likely than not the company will get greedy. Either implementing the plan to role ou a $1.50 per month charge on patrons, which will get rid of all $1 patrons. Go through with its plans and purge porn to attract new "child-friendly" content creators (not great because they have other competitive revenue sources and because of this it won't supplement the lost income) Or they'll sell the company after cleaning things up a bit, enough to look good but high earners like fow will be left untouched because of how much money they make.
Sorry this sort of anyisis is my day job and it's useful sometimes. Company finances are private so I can't really speculate more.
This has very little to do with politics and a lot to do with culture. American culture at large holds very puritanical values, regardless of being aligned with the left or right. The right justifies it with religion, the left with human rights, and their reasoning of why porn is bad is different, but the end result is the same: adult entertainment is bad and destroys society, as far as they are concerned. That's why it's so hard for porn games to grow when compared to places like Japan that just think that kind of thing is embarassing but not corruptive evil that must be purged.

It's similar here in england but it's getting a little more pureitan due to the conservitive party and its main invester owning most of the worlds media. Currently we've banned facesitting, squirting and a few other things and they've been talks about an opt out system for internet providers, meaning you'd have to phone the provider and tell them you want your porn back.
