How necessary is a walkthrough or cheat mod? Can you miss content with the girls? Is the cheat mod just to help with the grind?

Cheat mod helps with the grind a lot yes. Iirc you can miss content if you advance the girls too fast so when you do advance them i would say do one after each other to the same level and check everywhere so you see everything.

Actually it seems like the Cheat/Gallery Mod may be the best option
kinda wish the new game his doing is like this. its kinda downgrade

Too bad it will never be finished...
I think you can consider it finished in its currecnt state. There are so much scene and content in the game that adding more will not increase the value that much, and most of the main lines are finished. Only the galery is missing, but you can use better experience mod and the console to revisit scenes.
I've used it but when I run it, it immediately force closes. Please tell me the problem
There are also so many scenes that say they are waiting for an update to continue... But yeah, the gallery is a big part.
Maybe the wrong version of Joiplay? Best bet would be to go to the Joiplay discord to get help.
This was really good game. I love the premise to corrupt girls and mature women to obedient sluts. And done in a non-agressive way.

only problem I have with this game is the lack of a full gallery
Oh there isn't one by default in game? Well at least the mod has it. One of my pet peeves with AVNs are when they have no gallery. Forces me to try and use a save slot for each scene
There is one, but it's only images, and only for mom/sis.

the gallery is incomplete and you pretty much have to do like what you said.
Especially since the gallery that is there, is just a slideshow of the images, not the scenes themselves.
That's very frustrating. The "Better Experience" Mod doesn't include a gallery but I'm assuming (will have to check myself eventually) the cheat/gallery mod linked in op doesn't work together. So I have to decide which I use
Oh wait a second. I'm dumb. The cheat/gallery mod isn't one that adds a gallery, it is just a gallery unlock. So truly no way to get an actual functioning gallery. Damn
Yeah, it will forever be unfinished, disappointing. Still a fun game, but finding the right save to play old scenes is a pain. lol
