Shame conversation battles got completely dropped after this.
They weren't particularly good and doubling down on a poorly executed concept is a bad idea. Most of the puzzles aren't good.
Wordlock Chests
The few riddles for the word lock chest's they don't just rip wholesale out of well known ones end up being;
While yes you can intuit the answer just by seeing the letters this reads like rubbish and depending on how lateral your thinking gets has multiple valid answers.
It's a paraphrased version of the more proper riddle "Almost everyone needs it, asks for it, gives it. But almost nobody takes it."
And an odd thing that basically every culture we've stumbled across from before the wraith war to ancient elves, druids, lupines, and minotaurs all use these same boxes.
The most egregious thing about these dumb chests are that they're used in place of descriptions. You pull actual items of power 8/10 you see that chest and nobody says anything about them. Things that could be attached to much more suitable methods of acquisition just aren't.
Gem puzzles
"Ruby is adjacent to amatehyst but beneath topaz".
Terrific. Outstanding.
Conversation Battles
There are many games that have done this concept right. This is not one of them. There's nothing you take into the conversation and no clues you collect beforehand. They exist to have exposition thrown at you and then a quiz at the end to make sure you were paying attention. This also isn't that kind of game.
like puzzles but I've got my limits on both extremes. Too easy and I wonder why it was even attempted. Too difficult and I'll

myself into an early grave. TiTS is in a similar position where periodically you play Lights Out. I hate Lights Out. Though in tits it's a metaphor for hacking, neither of these examples are a mentally stimulating or enjoyable endeavor.
At the very least, they could not just reuse puzzles. But I get that it's easy to do so when the framework has already been made. It'd take serious effort to continue to be creative on that part. The one time they did try we got that rather awful lever puzzle. I hate binary chop puzzles.
That makes so little sense.. Incest is incest, right?
How come patreon's fine with you dicking down your sister, for example, but not 'yer mum?
The real answer is that they're toeing the line as is. Their experience with TiTS frostwyrms in regards to Patreon has given them the knowledge that
that kind of incest is no good. They probably know where they can push and be fine.
...However, they also erased a bunch of Shade x Steele stuff and I vaguely remember it being stated that that's why Anno x Syri wasn't going to happen.
At any rate, they seem fine with Patreon with only this much and we know from experience that going further than this has lead to problems. So~
