CoC2=DbD... Both developers live on their own planet. Though I have yet to see COC2 use Hockey references to defend their bullshit.
It's like any score based review, take it with a grain of salt. The overall rating for this game is actually fairly accurate IMO, slightly above average seems about right especially in context of the average game on f95 and it's kinda funny it reached that through a combination of unearned praise and over the top hatred. Why is this game still getting 5 star reviews...........
Perfectly balanced as all things should be.It's like any score based review, take it with a grain of salt. Dungeons band Dragons????
Well, what can you do with turn-based combat to be honest? The combat should be the weakest point of an RPG, for RPGs are about story and characters. Ideally, there should be a large helping of player choice to go along with it.its combat is so mind numbingly bland that i have difficulty rembering what even its about
Its a perspective thing.Even if you consider TBC boring you can agree that CoC2s is badly designed. Its not about if you like TBC its about how badly designed the games TBC is.Well, what can you do with turn-based combat to be honest? False. As an avid RPG player, I couldn't disagree with this more. If the combat and the systems associated with it are bad, then that reflects poorly on the game. People who go "it's an RPG who cares about combat" are the same as people who let Bethesda get away with releasing unpolished crap using a decrepit engine.Well, what can you do with turn-based combat to be honest? There are many many many games with good turn based combat. We're 3 decades in to games with good turn based combat. Naturally people that don't like turn based fights will never warm into them, but turn-based combat isn't bad because it's turn based. Turn based combat can be bad when it's designed poorly.what can you do with turn-based combat to be honest?
I...what? There's plenty of brilliant, in-depth combat system RPGs that I play for the sole sake of its combat as they have shit stories. Shin Megami Tensei is the biggest example I know. Or hell, fucking Pokemon. Nobody plays Pokemon for amazing story.Well, what can you do with turn-based combat to be honest? You're still on timeline 2. We split in timeline theta ages ago.
Achieving bland experienced isn't embraced by the public for Bethesda anymore.
Doesn't matter what the reviews look like now, they already cashed in their cheques, same with Fallout 76. Bethesda should've been put through the wringer ever since Fallout 4, but they have plenty of sugar daddies out in the open supporting the habit. They still sold pretty big numbers through starfield.
Most innovative gameplay. My god how is that real

Achieving bland experienced isn't embraced by the public for Bethesda anymore. Everybody rags on them including the formerly paid journalists.

It's not uncommon for porn games to at least try with their combat systems.do agree that expecting deep combat from a porn game is too much though. It's not the point of the game.
Honestly I wasn't expecting to live in a reality where I regretted a purchase more than I regretted buying Brink but here we are.and still made them millions so regardless
I actually had a convo about this before. The guy was essentially saying "Well why are bethesda games, the AC series and other such games getting 5 star reviews and why are people buying them if they are,as you say shit games?".Its simple really. What is selling is not the game itself, its the name.Nobody that wasnt lobotomized would say with a straight face that he thinks Fallout76 or any of the latest AC games were good.No.They buy them because it is an AC game, because it is a fallout game.Whats selling is the name not the game itself.Fucking sovelware man i swear.View attachment 3241611

Gonna have to disagree with you there chief. Bethesda still has assloads of soyboys who defend their garbage. Starfield also had a very positive at launch and still made them millions so regardless of if people rag on them, people are still eating up the slop they shovel out.
That's my point, dude. If anything should be the weak point in an RPG, it's the combat. The focus of an RPG should be the story and characters. Combat is ancillary. There's plenty of brilliant, in-depth combat system RPGs that I play for the sole sake of its combat as they have shit stories.
No false, just your opinion. To give an example of what I mean, Fallout: New Vegas has terrible combat, but it has a great story and characters, as well as tons of player freedom. That' what makes it a good RPG, as well as a good game.False. As an avid RPG player, I couldn't disagree with this more. If the combat and the systems associated with it are bad, then that reflects poorly on the game. I’ll counter with every single RPGM game ever made. It's not uncommon for porn games to at least try with their combat systems.
