Because she's literally commissioned furry OC of some random nodoby, that Wsan now dedicates his entire time working on. Instead of, you know, making more content for billion other characters he's already in charge of (like Brienne/Brint or Alante).

Have you read LT's forum? It's an absolute mess. You can dislike something and be friendly. Nobody here has done something to the level that it requires shade being tossed at their expense. Let's be adults. If not for general decency than for us to avoid having to be moderated to within an inch of our lives to ensure civility.
Hmm. I guess I agree to some extent. Kalysea is very similar to Orlaith though her commissioner would probably disagree but every OC is unique to their creator so it's moot. And yeah, Wsan would be entirely happy with an entire game full of nothing but futataurs.
I'm not sure if a commission pays the game itself money separately from just its chief writer. If that is the case, maybe that's why it was allowed especially if the game isn't getting commissions all that much.
I'll say this for "on his own time", if they have internal deadlines for content and Wsan matches those, anything beyond is "his own time". But considering how brihaus took 3 and a half eternities, I don't believe they're very strict on that other than hard general ones like companion deadlines. If he can genuinely make a living writing for this game that must be a very sweet gig. He actually once mentioned his background once how he was a fuckup before and had tried his hands at different things.
In general I'm just not happy with the content drops we're getting nowadays. Even this patch has like 1 piece of content listed under 5 different bullet points. Is it a coding bottleneck or a writing one I'm just not sure now but a commission taking entire patches isn't a good look.

This is true. It's their money, they can use it to commission any optional contents they want as long as the writer and the dev accept it. It's not our place to insult them personally, mocking them with "Walmart wage". They're not personally attacking you, they just want their kink to be added to the game, so they spent money on it. You can agree or disagree with it, but personally attacking them because they commissioning an optional scene just because it's their kink is rude and irrational. If you don't like it, just skip it. It's not shoved to your face.
Commissions technically have nothing to with the game itself AFAIK. You commission an author, and then it's submitted through review, same process whether it's a commission or a community submission, paid or free. Doesn't have to even be an author in the community, I remember someone at one point was trying to get ManyEyedHydra (monstergirl fetish author who posts on other sites) to work in a commission.
The big difference is simply that if you commission one of the main writers for the game...obviously his work is probably good enough to make it into the game (though not always, considering Tobs has gotten some stuff shot down).

My guessing it's less about people hating on a certain aspects of the game and more of a years of the devs and fans having this dissonance to the point, everyone would've just point finger to something they can see and hate rather than shifting the blame to the true perpetrator of this shitty game.

But truthfully speaking, the companions is just... too one sided, and really it's just my own rant but post free Kinu and Kiyoko can be done much better than what the current is, I used to think it's a masterpiece, but as I read through it, the MC get into less of a father and more of a bumbling fool who are happy with what he's given and not searching for anything more.
Like sure, the whole Kitsune as a whole is a matriarchy based society, but they are also traditional to the point, like is it so hard to ask for advice from your other parent.
