Before I download and play this I wanna know if this one is better for transforming the npcs mind and body with the items instead of mainly transforming the player because that got old way to quick in the first one and not enough corrupting/transforming the npcs that you can recruit/befriend/romance.

I wouldn't hold my breath. the game is pretty barebone currently, so I can't say much for certain, but it's pretty unlikely that they would change their whole MO. allowing for a lot of PC customization is one of their main appeals. of course, that doesn't mean they won't have more NPC transformations. they already included some (1st girl's breast growth) this early on in production, so just hope this is a trend, I guess?

Thing that annoyed me the most (i'm pretty vanilla on the futa/furry spectra, but in text/customize-your-char content, i don't go as far out of my way to avoid it as I do with visual porn. whatever.) was the whole "oh you ate a <thing>? YOU ARE NOW SUPER DUPER <thing>Y AND NO THERE ISN'T AN OBVIOUS UN<thing> YOURSELF BUTTON GFL GETTING BACK TO HOW YOU WANTED IT LOL" experience.
That's the reason why I sort of refused playing TiTs and slowly started back playing CoC. Thing is though some of the consumables in CoC do help you out depending on what they are and this is outside of simple vitality potions. I hate playing this way but literally saving after everyday not because of a strong monster but because I'm scared what this bottle of fuck juice will do to me and if I don't want it on my character I can reload a save is pretty messed up but the only viable way to play games like this. Of course there are modded versions of CoC now that somewhat let you tweak if you want certain content but that's the issue is that most of it is ingrained in the lore of the world even if you don't want to see it.

Or you could just to check before partaking... they're linked right at Fen's site, too.

Note that CoC2 is actually rather better than the other two thanks to the alchemy reagents that let you actively pick what body part you want to change; TiTS does have a number of transformatives with analogous selectivity built in but way too many entirely random ones among things that are supposed to be over-the-counter consumer stuff...

Kind of not sure what your gripe really is here given the OG CoC is pure save-scum fest if you don't use a save editor tho.

Um no this reminds me of the Destiny situation years ago in terms of lore or items why do I need an outside source that is trying to be the main source that should be optional not required to play the game. With so many NPCs you could easily make one that analyzes items or give the player a skill that can check and see the effects of an item before they use it (I don't know if such a thing exists but I'll check it later). This isn't even a major gripe it's just something I found inconvenient then figured out a way to work around it. Even modded CoC has this issue though it isn't completely terrible as there's many ways to revert options you don't like.

*le shrug* Basically just how the games are designed, I guess it's supposed to add a sense of pride and accomplishmentdiscovery and gamble or something? Mostly just becomes a damn hassle real fast and is one of the prime reasons I'm a shameless abuser of the save editors.

Mind you lore-wise it's fitting for the CoCs since in the first one it's basically the bizarro effects of the demonic corruption of the world at work and in the second no less majikal alchemical concoctions and whatnot, neither of which is anything like an exact science. Rather less excusable in TiTS where the majority of the things are supposed to be commercial consumer stuff - even if the Big Pharma megacorps making that shit don't have to pay more than lip service to medical safety standards in proper dystopian cyberpunk style you'd still expect them to package a pretty exhaustive list of the effects simply so prospective buyers actually know what to grab off the shelf... (granted, might be a bit of a pain to realize in UI terms.)
And don't get me started on the more ridiculous lootables that make about as much sense as eating a Big Mac somehow genetically transforming you into a phat Murrican rather than whatever the beef in it came from; looking at you, Zil Rations et al. :cautious:

I mean I'm a big fan of high fantasy, cyberpunk and space operas which drew me to TiTs and CoC. My first outting with CoC I absoutely hated it as I didn't know how to avoid anything I didn't want to see (No problem with futa but getting raped or transformed outside of the player control can be annoying) but now I enjoy CoC more even if I never knew about the save editor thing until now actually. My strategy has just been save scumming which works out in the long run.

Works, yes.
Bloody tedious, absolutely.

Personally I tend to use the transformatives just to see any interesting fluff text and do the fine-tuning with the editors; getting a specific combination of interesting traits can take pretty egregious levels of save-scumming and forward planning otherwise.

Some can help out like the Shark Tooth which can give you the "shark bite" ability or some of the fruit and items from named creatures you fight can increase permanent stats. The game still has me scared to do anything with anything as I want to learn what they do that way if it's undesirable I can just sell them. Though the other issue with CoC is that some of these transformatives don't have to be tied to items which I think I see other people also having an issue with and TiTs for that matter also has this issue to the admittedly very little I've played but still enough to understand a little about how the game will be played.

Always found consulting the wikis to rather improve the general gameplay experience already by removing the whole "groping blind" aspect. I'm sure some appreciate the whole thrill of leaping into the unknown etc. but much of the time I just find it to be something of a pointless waste of time and effort - I only have so much spare time to spend and would rather not waste it undoing the results of insufficient information and/or straight-up RNG bullshit.

Uh, not really sure what you mean here. Are you talking about event-related transformations? Those are usually signposted pretty well though...

Well I tie it to my enjoyment of the game if I can learn to work with it rather than constantly have to wrestle around with it. This isn't just a CoC game plenty of games mostly the open world survival kind of games throw you into a world and don't explain a whole lot up front as the idea is to explore more which aids the enjoyment of the game the more you come across. Vanilla CoC was redolent with this but it didn't do it well because it would be like playing something like minecraft and every new block you find changes your character like one minute you're normal and when you mine some coal or something you turn into a hermaphrodite.

Probably worded it wrong but more specifically the events you can't tell if you will actually talk to a character when you approach them, they will have sex with you but leave an adverse effect or straight up rape you. The dialogue is ok with conveying this but I feel the game sometimes punishes exploring and curiosity. But meh....I suppose that is how the world is truly conveyed you aren't always guarantee a good time even when being a nice person.

Judging from the predecessors it's probably just gonna be all dickgirl all the time, and to the extent the dickgirls can be avoided at all, you'll have to miss out on any and all related content.

Factually incorrect, speaking as someone who actually played the thing.

I was being somewhat obviously facetious. But I played 'em too, and there were dickgirls around every corner. At least one of which had a massive amount of content ascocciated with it. I recall reading that it was possible to make her go 'full girl' but took a whole lot of dickgirl time and dickgirl effort to get there. With a better than average chance of her dickgirl raping you a couple dozen times along the way.

Has CoCII some possession or decent TF? Because 1 had and it was pretty limited... If it's just the expected "drink and hope you get lucky with transform" or "lose and get transformed" save-scumfest.

God, Shouldra was well written... But i hope the MC get's some more control if she (or a similar character) makes an appearance.

Save-scumming is more or less a tradition in these now but and remove a lot of the RNG.

Was referring to THIS game which you very obviously haven't played. Go take a look at the instead of whining.
