Anyways, as mentioned prior - sorry if I'm spamming this thread - and I'll try not to post things from the forums here moving forward, but I just found this pretty amusing to say the least; so I thought I'd share it.
And, yeah I think it's time to just take a break from the community / game - the effort is clearly not worth it. Bug reports still sitting unread months later, gripes being critiqued and dismissed as though they're not personal grievances with the game on a thread that implies bias in any case - yeah no, not worth having to constantly justify ones stances to people that aren't interested in it in the first place nor will fairly objectively judge it.

You idiots, when will you understand Cait is FORCED as your companion?! Just Leave her in the tavern! It's just that the majority of the content will be locked out from your access. But NOT FORCED upon you!

How much shit stain did they consume to not understand what the guy was talking about the whole Cait marriage thing? Jesus just come up with an excuse why Brother Sanders is not made to be a choice for the wedding instead of starting a non-existing argument. The Forum is well beyond saving ever since Savin starts deleting comments or locking threads.

Been playing with her in the party and while I don't get nagged (which is nice) anymore, is there a scene with her with others? Or using the dildo by herself? Or has either scene been written yet?

You're objectively wrong here. We're 7 months into the year and the temple has only existed for three of them, and of those three months there's been tons of other content for various non-temple characters. There's even an entirely new area that's still getting populated with various NPCs.



That's a pretty dark interpretation when we have several examples of characters who were raised in the temple and then left with no fuss. Cait explicitly says that she had her mother's blessing to leave, and no one tried to stop her or her sister.



Kas is the main villain, what more do you really want from her content wise (aside from the dream interactions that are already coming)? I can't think of any other game that has you casually interacting with the final boss at your leisure. I can agree that if the information is important enough there should be some other way to access it, but sometimes you have to accept that you just can't see everything in one playthrough. That's how all games with choices function. You choose not to make the temple, you don't get Kas's temple scenes.

I agree that there's no need to be aggressive to make a point, hopefully everyone else feels the same way.

Hmm. I concede the first point but I don't know to what degree. Doubt Minotaur City really counts seeing as it's an empty barren land of enemy encounters as it stands.

For the second point, be that as it may that they can leave with their own will, with their will shaped entirely by the temple up to that point, are they even equipped to make that choice?

As for the third, eh. I think we'll just agree to disagree. You find it okay, I personally don't.

It's trite at this point for me to bitch and whine about how SavinCo act on the forums but this shit is unacceptable, and I don't get the people claiming that the Fen Forums are a utopic healthy community.

Reactions like Savin's here are common and unprofessional as fuck. No part of the dev team, especially not Savin should act like this. Even if the guy's opinion was outright bad or wrong, he wasn't rude or snarky about it in any form and didn't deserve a reaction like that. But what do you expect from ManchildCo.

And his opinion is pretty damn valid. I hadn't thought about it it until now but during that whole marriage scene I just rolled my eyes at Cait and skipped her scene. She plays too big of a part, and does feel shoehorned in.

Also Cait is all but forced on you; she has the most kits available so that she can fit into the party, she's the only healer so if you don't play as a healer then you gotta take her, she has more content dedicated to her than everyone else, everyone talks about how she's so hot and they want to fuck her, backstory & scenes for the antagonist are locked behind her romance quest. For fucks sake you can thank her dad for her existence.

Unless Kassyra gets equivalent scenes for every character then you are pretty much railroaded into using Cait just by sheer weight on content.

Until Winter City you have Atugia, Berwyn, and (I think) Azzyran. Of the three, Atugia's the only one you can get without a fight. Berwyn doesn't count because multiheal's atrocious cooldown and it's Berwyn, Queen Nyze ain't exactly exactly walk in the park especially since she can just resolve nuke you anyway. And with Atugia you either have to wait around for three days or make nookie with her day 1.
Add that to the fact that Witch Cait is the easiest set to get in the game and further improves her healing. They're basically strong-arming you to use Cait. Atugia's the closet alternative and the fact taunt isn't a status ailment for some reason makes her role as a heal-tank shaky.
Idk whose bright idea it was to make a max hp scaling heal have 0 cool down, but whoever it was really wanted to entice people to use Cait. Compared to every other at-will heal/greater heal are stupidly overpowered. You could always get the moves yourself, I'm pretty sure they made the hp scaling just for other classes to abuse it. However companions ate the selling point of the game.

It's sort of impressive how much they've bungled the sequel. CoC is an easy game/concept based around the MC goign around stick things in/or in other genitals. Throughout that journey you meet some characters and they hang out and can be pure or corrupted, etc. These side characters were never the focal point of the story, unless it was a specific side quest, which made it special. Having to trudge around with a bunch of characters because combat is impossible otherwise isn't really fun, especially when the characters have content based around the writer and not the audience. If, hypothetically, I was a witer and had added some kind of Moose Dickgirl companion into the game, but people wanted her to eb female, AND I was being paid to write smut, why wouldn't I put that content in? Currently the game has some fun stuff in it, but it's buried beneath a curtain of sub par writers, obsessed with their personal characters rather than making a good game.

I'm fine if they want to have characters have sexual preferences or stay a specific gender I just want my character to have proper agency. And I character agency in a more meta sense I guess considering our character while drives the plot our decisions are somewhat railroaded or outright decided for us. It is very hard to roleplay when the writer speaks for me, considering how much Savin loves DnD he would understand this.
