It's barely a game given that the current strat is usually using the same ability order every fight. Say grease->fireball. You got like 5 buttons, one of which is often a passive stance and one is a break glass thing. It then boils down to the quality of the "porn" and story. And given those are basically tobs shitting out loads of subpar writing and very few images or animation it's really not that dick hardening. The one selling point is the scope and variety of the game, which is mostly the result of the discord server model of production where a ton of writers put in time they could spend learning a language or making long-term friendships writing walls of shit the producer says no, put it in the rubbish bin. It's ultimately a 3 star product. It's hard to argue it does better story than something like survival or sarah rose or a myriad of other decently written VNs, or RPG-sex than something like price for freedom avarice. It's big selling point is the variety and scope but the issue that people keep harping on is that things like transformation or player agency is decreasing as the game goes on - literally what the sex of the game is with all other parts stripped. Not to mention how torn to shreds the lore is compared to any high quality game. You just need to start with kitsune and their random weeb sengoku japan bullshit banzai-ing into a bronze age/late antiquity hybrid setting.
Utlimately to not ramble like the game does - the meat of the "game" is really writing and the writing is mid. It's really not better than many games on this site that do it on less budget.

No and I'd be surprised if any of these games do, virtually all the sex scenes are repeatable anyway so it'd be a mountain of work for minimum benefit.
God knowing how fucking slow these guys are at shit it'd end up a bigger game killer than the ship combat updates, TiTs still hasn't recovered from that shit.

Yeah, the game’s pretty middle of the road. There’s some gems, but that gets counterbalanced by the community mismanagement. I’d say it’s a three, three and a half at best.

It's all a matter of whether the community thinks the positives outweight the negatives. If it was really a 3 out of 5, then you would find the average review to be that... Unfortuantely, a lot of people give it a 1/5 either because it's genuinely not their cup of tea or they give it a lower evaluation to counterbalance all the 5/5 reviews that are just as bullshit as the 1/5 ones.
The game doesn't have a clear narrative direction and doesn't know it's audience but it isn't a bad game.
Literally the opposite of what you say. There's a ton of one-time only scenes in this game, and they add more and more as of late.

No, and there probably will never be. Original CoC never recieved one. And their other game (TiTS) also never got one.
Try Shift + Control or whatever keybind you use to open web console, go to the console section and type a character name and/or event and you can cycle through all the sex scenes in the game click the one you want then enter key. I use it to go through all the scenes in new updates.
It should look like this and you dont have to see the scenes you can do this in a fresh new game.
