All the mods I checked out were a mixed bag as you'd expect. Some of it really was that bad (I mean holy crap who thought that terrible prologue was a good idea) or just appealed to people who wanted to be able to kill everyone but other aspects would have been good additions to the game.
Then he should've just written a novel instead of writing CoC II or TiTS. It's kind of a tough love scenario. You open yourself up to that as soon as you publish and you know it. I don't know what else to say except you're welcome for TiTS and paid content being what it is if you want to talk about being spread too thin. It's obtuse for me to see them act in strange and often weird ways when dealing with things because it always seems like they're trying to go out of their way to satisfy some margin- It'd be better if they didn't, they'd get a lot more shit done.

Yeah it can really be felt.
On one hand there is Tits who give this giant "open world" feeling with dynamic scenes, many characters everywhere with each their different options, schedules, etc, adding this alive and ever changing side.
While on the other Coc2 feel a lot more linear and scripted.
Like there is a lot more chance for different people to have a similar playthrough in CoC than in Tits.
What is the point to block saving during important dungeons? Some of those have important one time decisions and contain boss fights, the inability to save when you enter the dungeon is annoying especially with the ones where you're forced to go without notice.
And by God is there a way to remove that shitty text notice everytime I load a save, does the dev really expect me to keep every save until they finally decide to make a major update. Just adding gold in a text edit makes that shitty pop up come up everytime.

Any hope on modding the game? It's certainly not impossible, as far as I can see it's just a javascript file that's most definitely editable. In fact, it's very easy to mod the text. It's just everything else that seems to be obnoxious as hell. In fact, I'd like to remove certain content which seems like it should be easy.

Is it the case that people interested in men have had a draught of content and are now catching up and it's just that as it's all coming relatively close together it just feels like a deluge, or are there really quite a lot of dudes in this game? Got to admit, unless that monkey turns out to be a chick this update is a bit meh.

my dude it is literally a text porn game with weeb shit in it. the writers aren't exactly known for their amazing fiction and the vast majority of them probably haven't fucked ever in their lives. you're expecting too much in terms of quality.
and i definitely do agree with you on the observer. who the fuck thought garett was a good idea? he is just so, so, so fucking unnecessary. YOU CAN'T DO ANYTHING WITH HIM. i think the observer just wanted a self-inserty character to rant his own daddy issues through or something.

How much of that is just due to the fact that he is the primary writer for preg content? Can't really write homo preg stuff. Not to mention I don't think there's anything wrong at all with writing only straight content if you are straight. Straights are going to be 80% of your audience at least.
Its non official, but don't worry it won't mess up your game at least for me I had no issue with it unless I go over the limit in many things.
That pop up is just the devs way of saying fuck off with your issues if you don't keep every save since the begining or when we finally decide to make a major update.
My real point there was that Savin's not as uptight as people make him out to be. If he rejects your idea it'll be because you want him or someone to cater to you without paying or because it's half-baked or hard to implement. When people make decent suggestions and are willing to write them he's pretty open to it.
I probably picked on him too much but the idea was to show that there's someone on the CoC2 staff who absolutely is as anal and self-important as Savin's always made out to be and when you stack them up you can see what an overly controlling author who thinks their mediocre content should never be touched by the filthy hands of a lesser being looks like.

The problem I see with Observer is that he specifically wrote Kinu to spite people and wrote it so that you can't avoid her if you want Kiyoko. Which seems incredibly petty and short-sighted.
