TiTs definitely has its own set of problems, but they are imo the opposite of CoC's. TiTs was way too ambitious.

The initial plan was for 20 probe planets, and alternate options for some planets, fleets of ships with space combat, factions you'd gain and lose favor with, and all kinds of madness. 8 years in they had...5. Took them all of that to get in the scaled down ship combat they eventually ended up with also.

A large portion of CoC2's design and the rules they laid out in the beginning are a direct reflection of TiTs (and CoC1's) issues and failings, just like a lot of TiTs at the beginning was a clear response to issues in CoC1. CoC2 has a clear plan and outline that they've stuck to (mostly) and a way more manageable scale.

Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if CoC2 ends up finishing before TiTs does.
Things really start to line up when you recall that Savin is currently DMing a 3+ year, 160+ session DnD campaign that features at least one character from CoC2. We're all just the marionettes dancing on Savin's railroady strings.

I was super excited until I realized it was by Gardeford. He can't write jack shit. And that's exactly what's happening with Lumia. Her scenes are so...dumb. Lengthy prose in all the wrong places and too little detail in the actual act of sex that matters. Plus why the fuck does his Lumia confess in the middle of a sex scene to a hero that she talked to for like 10 minutes total.

Had she been handled by a more competent writer, I definitely would have liked her. You're the super special champion breeding goddesses, what's not to like?

But Savin just had to give writing Lumia to the guy who wrote the second least liked companion in the entire fucking game, Atugia. The companion that literally nobody, no fucking body gives a shit about. At least Quin is polarizing, he has a tiny minority that likes him, and others hate him.

Nobody cares about Atugia simply 'cause all of her writing fucking sucks. And to not be remembered at all is worse than being hated.

The guy who wrote that, wrote this super big character that everyone was excited about. Wtf was going through savin's head I wonder.

Edit: Actually, to make a completely uneducated guess, Gardeford probably promised Savin a few Arona x Lumina scenes in return for being able to write her. Also lol at the forced Atugia scenes in the quest. Dude just had to showcase his OC.
I have almost never interacted with Garb characters -- most of them are not appealing to me in design alone -- but l did do the pregnancy content of that horse lady that carries my stuff and I enjoyed it. It felt like it had good understanding of what made the concept of pregnancy hot from a fetishistic angle.
So I am kind of interested in how goddess of fertility can come off as boring.

And when it comes to Atugia, eh... Only thing I have to say is that while I can guess why she may seem forced in, my visceral reaction was "Oh finally, she is not sucking on the tits of the success of our companions. She may actually start interacting with the narrative. Or at least she is getting content.
Warning rambly thoughts, opinions, blah blah

I have my qualms with "one fuck leads to ever lasting love" approach to establishing relationship between champion and the NPC. I do not mind in some cases, but I do wish more PCs had a slightly more gradual progression. But, at the same time, this is a porn game and people come here for sex.

Still, if I was Jstar, the way I would try to satisfy both camps (the sex havers and romance enjoyers) would be like this.
The sex scenes are there from the start but make it so that the further you progress with Drifa, the more romantic the eventual boning will end up being. Like how Zo does it: you can fuck her from the start, but if you hold yourself back, she will confess her love to you and make your first time feel that more romantic. I think that is a good compromise.

meh

if we are not the first to impregnate a goddess then it is no longer special...
Huh, and she confeses her love for you... Yeah no.

What? TiTS is incredibly unstable nowadays. Gedan and lowercase_donkey has been fighting a veritable Hydra of bugs. And because of that content has been scarce lately (sans the Dhaal dungeon). But you know what? I still prefer the clusterfuck that is TiTS than CoC2 anyday. Every planet has something that can entertain me, but in CoC2 it feels more like I'm slogging along to get to the content I like. And sometimes when I do reach content that I think I like I often end up disappointed in it (The Siorcs for example).
I absolutely agree witb this I jis

I have to agree with this. I lost interest in this game years ago when all I wanted is to have more funtime with kassyra (arguably the most story importatnt character) but after about a year of no added content with her and the feeling of grinding through other stuff Im not interrested in just turned me off this game only checking if it gets released to maybe see the content Im interrested in.

Guys, just a big question... How in the world is there NTR in this game? We are talking about a hypersexual world, where sex is practiced widely and without ties.

Note: I don't play CoC 2, just seeing the NTR tag here made me very suspicious.

Cait. She's the entire reason this game is even tagged as NTR. Long story short, as part of her backstory she's part of a sex-worshipping cult, so even if you decide to romance her, she'll never be exclusively yours. To make things worse, she's actively shoe-horned into events that she has no place in, so most people who like this game tend to hate her character.

Eh...probably not.

The NTR is mostly when your companions get sexed up when you lose. It...probably has little to nothing to do with Cait specifically.

There are a few characters, like Brienne for example, that can be fairly monogamous with the MC. And there are fight loss scenes in which the MC is forced to watch her forced to have sex with others.

There's sex scenes where your companions/love interests are getting raped in front of you if you lose a battle.
The game is also filled with a lot of other shit that goes into that territory like the PC being a third wheel in NPCs relationships or certain scenes where, for example, the PC is jerking off in a corner while a minotaur fucks his dullahan girlfriend, but insinuating that that kind of stuff might be written for the NTR/cuckold audience too usually causes spergouts in the fanbase and writing staff for some reason.

Yeah, I get it... After reading some comments... I think CoC 2 evolved in a totally opposite way to what I like to see in a game... Apparently, very little romance and vanilla around here too. I guess, in the end, I'm not going to play this.

And c'mon, why does the protag have to be the big weakling of the thing? This is ridiculous.

Because the guy in charge of the game is a self-admitted cuckold. Which wouldn't be a problem if the game was called "futa horsecocks, sluts and cuckoldry" instead of "Corruption of Champions 2". There'd also be 90% less bitching about it in that case, since people who don't know any better wouldn't get baited in expecting something different.
But then again, if it was called that instead it also probably wouldn't make 30k bucks a month.

Hahahaha.

But seriously, no.
If the game was called "futa horsecocks, sluts and cuckoldry" it would immediately filter out all of the people who are into vanilla stuff, CoC1 type weird shit and all the non-futa, non-slut and non-cuck people in general.
So yes, there'd absolutely would way be way less complaints, and way less eyes on the game in general.

It is not like the game hides what it is: the first characters you meat are futa demon, slutty cat, slutty male minotaur and a dog girl that has a breeding fetish. If you do not like any of that then you can just leaves. No one is really being fooled, except maybe people that want corruption content.

Even leaving aside the really out there fetish shit like the parasite stuff that the first game had, if you don't give a single fuck about corruption or transformation content then why are you calling your game CoC2?
CoC2 has absolutely nothing to do with the prequel, the only reason it was even called "CoC2" was because at the end of CoC1 development, pardon my french, Savin was neck deep in Fenoxos rectum because he knew the only way he'd get people interested in his shit sequel was if it was called that.

POWER FANTASY
MC in CoC2 is fairly sue'ish what with damn near everyone falling in love with you on sight (even the fucking main villain dotes on you) or after having sex once and seeming to have no autonomy otherwise and your 'magic essence' being described 'as larger than a mountain' or some shit (and not temporarily like that time Brienne ascended into pure magic). They just suck at sex and tap out disappoitingly quickly compared to CoC 1 where you could tentacle orgy elves and fuck the best girl for entire days and they tap out of tits where you just cum hilairiously large amounts (which you can do in coc 1 and 2 but tits has by far the most dialogue and interactions about this)

Things really start to line up when you recall that Savin is currently DMing a 3+ year, 160+ session DnD campaign that features at least one character from CoC2. We're all just the marionettes dancing on Savin's railroady strings.
Do the DnD campaigns resemble what happens in the game much?

slutty cat
I always found her funny because it gives you this explicit NTR warning when you recruit her (even though the game is designed for you to fuck everyone and only Brienne/ente really comment on this) and then she never really sleeps around. TiTs has your allies do that much more. I think the only time it really happens in CoC2 without it being a direct result of your loss or picking it in a menu is with Hashat, where its also really OoC, a result of a million different writers.
