Yeah Brint and Brienne aren't the same characters, personality wise, and it's kind've a shame, but I get that. I recall reading that Wsan regretted discovering/creating Brienne late and not at the start such that Brint and Brienne would have been two separate characters. Again, not 100% sure if I remembered correctly.

I see people mistakenly write “of” instead of “’ve” all the time, but this is legit the first time I’ve seen the reverse LOL.
Siegfried and Kriemhild from Fate Grand Order. Both of them are hot characters in a relationship with each other, and both of them don't show romantic interest in the MC, strangely enough a lot of people are fine with that. There's also this one widow character waiting for her husband to be summoned (long story short: this game is essentially about summoning heroes from the past to help save humanity) and is completely devoted to him, which I find respectable. Then again there's a shit ton of fanmade hentai featuring those characters.
Oh there is, Azyrran. Seemingly devoted to you if you choose to romance her, however, the writers thought it would be a good idea to ship her with Liaden. In lore, she's deceptive by omission and apparently the player character is the bad guy if we make it clear we don't like it at all. In reality, it was a really fucking stupid idea created on a whim that the writers will defend to the death despite how retarded it is. Luckily, she's pretty avoidable so I just ignore her every playthrough.

Don't forget Sigurd and Brynhild, Yu Mei-ren and Xiang Yu, and Orion and Artemis. Personally I've never seen people get upset about gacha characters being in relationships with other people, though most don't do that in the first place for obvious reasons.
Most people playing this game are straight(ish) dudes. Obviously if I could turn a character with sexual content into a girl, I'm gonna do that because I'm not into guys. People would rather interact with content they're actually interested in. Why do you act like this is some negative character trait?
You know not everybody gives a shit about lore, right? People can just enjoy the sex scene for what it is without quaking in there boots wondering if it perfectly aligns with their character. If they have a sex scene they're interested in and it doesn't completely fuck things up with other characters, people are usually gonna do it. Even regardless of that, have you ever thought that also might be why some people like it?
Yeah punish people for enjoying sex scenes in a smut game, I'm sure that'll work out just fine.

You could pretty easily, if you have patience of course, rewrite every guy into a girl. I rewrote every female companion into a guy, and it was fun. Best boy is obviously Brinty, but Ryan is also fun. Kiyoko was the toughest to do, but eh... Butt pregnancy is not that far out of left field.

It is actually reverse. I have never had problems if from the start I told her that I am not interessted in helping her with getting together with Liaden she did not had a problem. But the problem starts once you get her together with Liaden because just purifying the honey pool is somehow way more important then everything you did and because Liaden is a pure Lesbian, that has a problem with guys, you will not be allowed to have a piece in the action.

I just personally found it weird to feel a need to turn the men into women in the first place. CoC2 is overflowing with females, there aren't as many males and MAYBE at this point the futas or "trans" intersex are passing the males. There's a point where it just feels like excess, but not the fun kind CoC1 played at. I've cared so little for CoC2 because the appeal to straight(ish) guys has made a sequel to a super raunchy game so...hilariously mundane. This makes me think of Degrees of Lewdity where you can literaly choose the sex of EVERY NPC before starting a new game so you, THE PLAYER may interact and enjoy all of the characters written and cattered to your prefferences, simple quality of life in a porn game dudes (Also agreed as a straight dude I wanna bone women.)

wikis are updated by people.
I have not had any desire to work on their wiki for many years now.
I believe this lack of update suggests high player turnover (people quitting shortly after finding the game), as well as low player investment
I think CoC2 team also limit who can edit their wiki pages though don't quote me on that.
I support this message, exploring the other side of content is much needed
But Brienne is better than Brint and thats just due to the amount of interactions the player can have with all over the place. Maybe one day Brint can have the same level of content as Brienne in interactions.

That aside, the choice mostly this choice does a few things
- Disables all Liaden content (no femc bone either)
- Changes Squeeze -> Friend (in reference to Liaden)
- Liaden deals with the gnolls with Azzy -> Liaden does it all by herself
- Dragon Azzy doesn't mention Liaden when she's talking about her harem of hivewives (Missing the point arentcha SKoW?)

Yeah thats how I see it and a lot of gender swap stuff would be in terms of punishment for example people may actually take interest in the 3 male cultists antagonists if they could be gender swapped and fucked into submission. You could argue that you don't need them to be female to do that and I certainly agree wouldn't mind making the rat boi a bottom bitch to be used as a cock holster. Part of the fun would be to take them out of their comfort zone while fucking them so it seems less like a reward. Also some female villains it just wouldn't work like Ryn's sister as a male she would probably be more dangerous and Kas has a dick already.
Also I think men in general are more interested in gender swapping, straight men for more stuff to fuck and gay men so they can have more options when it comes to husbandos its tough to find many men completely devoted to you in a similar way to as Brienne is. As for women from my experience its really hard to find women who are into former women that have become men or lesbians who are into men who have become women.
Also with the Brint vs Brienne I think Monte summed it up well a while back when commenting on how Brint while loving to you when pregnant and stuff like that still wants to fuck ever vagina in sight pretty much and lacks the devotion to you that Brienne has.
Both Brint and Brienne are great ultimately and for me personally if Brint as a romance interest became less of a fuck boi/bro he would be better. Also Brienne comes with her mother and sister which does help a lot too because I am super degnerate like that
