Skyrim has the advantage that you can go anywhere and start almost any questline without prior requirements. CoC2 requires you to go through its lengthy and ever-expanding main quest(s) in order to even access upwards of 90% of the regions and characters.

“See that mountain? You can go under it.—If, of course, you have the pass from the baroness, which requires you to liberate the Elf kingdom and become the Champion of Frost—which requires you to get all chummy with a trap you’d much rather not deal with and backtrack all over the place—which requires you to go through a forest which is locked away behind a futa wizard you’d also much rather not interact with—which requires you to defeat an Alraune which is locked behind saving some worthless NPC that got his sidequest promoted to obligatory status for some reason…”

Also, Skyrim, despite its horrendous and simplistic writing, always has a minimum of two ways to go about most quests: “do what you’re told” and “kill everyone”. CoC2 is almost pure yes-man.

As a freemium game. literally every single person who purchases CoC2 on steam, has already been playing it first. As you can just download the full version of CoC2 for free from fonexo website.

I disagree. The one similarity I do remember were complaints about there being "too" many futas (there's not).

I spent a large amount of my own personal time going back through TiTS topic. At the point that I'm typing this post I've been through 360 pages of this stuff. Specifically to make sure I wasn't mistaken.

I decided to actually look because this didn't sound true to memory
I'll spare you the details as the post I made including them would bloat this post to an obscene degree.

Most of the conversation is based around bugs, UI, Futas, Furries, and hating on Fenoxo.
Main points of contention

• Updates are too slow
• Everything is Fen's fault (in regards to progress)
• Bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs, bugs
• Sophora complaints
• Wiki complaints
• Incomplete characters
• A lot of Savin shitflinging
• Doms
• Futas
• Character busts
• Patreon policy changes influencing content

The first 150 pages might as well be relabeled "tech help" because that's essentially all that's getting discussed.
200 pages after that is mostly people talking about patreon policies affecting the game and more Fen shitposting.
An astronomical amount of Fen and Savin shitposting.


The few times people go on about threesomes it's in direct contrast to how poorly they're done in CoC2
The number of times people talk about sharing etc is in the single digits.
Taken from a post in 2020: "Tl;dr : Anno has good background stories and have some restraints. Cait goes deus vult on every cock and the backstory seems like an excuse for her existense."

I can confidently and accurately state that the complaints raised towards TiTS are largely completely different than the complaints levied against CoC2. So any conclusion using TiTS as based would be flawed... at best.

I also wouldn't say steam reviews are the best place to actually gauge overall player reception, especially for a porn game where everybody just spams joke reviews and the overall bar to satisfaction is somehow lower than this site.

What same complaints? The only thing they consistently complain about is every patch being a drip of content and 90% bug fixes, which is perfectly valid.

I mean, the game has a LOT of well written scenes that are enhanced by the primary gameplay loop

Genuinely curious how any scene in this game is enhanced by the gameplay loop of pressing WASD, winning every encounter by spamming abilities, and occasionally talking to NPCs. If we could actually get closer to NPCs over time and form an actual bond with them ala Dragon Age or Mass Effect I could see where you're coming from, but that just doesn't happen here.

What they needed to do was make this game a full-fledged RPG with actually compelling characters. They built the entire framework for one already: A somewhat interesting setting, a plot hook allowing things to happen, combat with companions, rest areas to chill with said companions, etc. Then they threw all that shit out the window by making the world as silly as TiTS and saying the NPCs are way stronger than the MC. This game has a severe identity crisis, even when ignoring the massive tone shifts in writing.

Perhaps because those things are actually side quests? Even then, I don't think killing the Emperor, stopping a vampire from killing the sun, or stopping the first dragonborn from ruling the planet feel like sidequests. The main story of Skyrim certainly doesn't feel like a side quest either.

Slow updates? We get that all the time.

Bugs? Pretty constantly.

Wiki complaints? Just had that.

Incomplete characters? Literally on this very page.

Savin shit flinging...lol

Complaints about too many doms? Comes up quite frequently.

Futa complaints? Like a quarter of this thread.

Busts? This one's a bit more infrequent, but has come up quite a few times.

The UI complaints, specifically about Fenoxo, and specifically about characters are really the main ones that aren't reflected here.

And no matter how few bug fixes you'll see in the last 600 posts of this topic, it pales in comparison to just 100 pages in TiTS. To the point that it'd be crazy to even try to compare the two.

Edit: And while I'm at it, that's kind of a wasted point to begin with. Bugs at all are objectively bad no matter what game they're in and are indeed a problem that is an actual problem.

One, sales mean very little in regards to quality. Pokemon is the best selling franchise of all time. I'd rate literally thousands of games I've played as better than the whole franchise, including some that got canned because of low sales.

Shitty gacha games print money like it's going outta style, and I doubt any of us would consider those among the best games we ever played.

Second, the comparisons you making here don't really work, because you're comparing more similar games with similiar goals. CoC2 is better at being a porn game than Skyrim is at being an open world RPG. CoC2 successfully accomplishes its goal (for me, of course) of serving up porn I like and enhancing said porn with a world that gives it context.

Bruh. I can agree that skyrim isn't the best game or best rpg or whatever. But I surely can't agree that CoC2 is better than skyrim in any way. Well, it might have more sex in it but as RPG:
1) it sucks EVEN compared to skyrim

That seems to be a really disingenuous point to make. The only real overlap of CoC2 and TiTS's problems that people like to complain about is the perceived abundance of Futas and dickgirls. People like to complain about the update schedules and abundance of bugs for both, but that can happen in any game really. CoC2's main complaints revolve mostly around content like the [insert everything The Observer and BubbleLord wrote here] and how the Champion acts more like a floating videocam so that we can see the author's OC do cool stuff. The only content in TiTS that gets a similar reaction from the playerbase is Shizuya and the Great Maijin along with Sophora the Stalker Bunny (Embry too to a lesser magnitude).
