I wish Berwyn was still a companion (mind you I very much like turning the useless Femboy into a female with a huge rack and a womb to flood since Impregnation is my fetish but still, losing a Companion hardly feels like a fair trade for getting my fetish fulfilled.)

0.5.7 was the update where they removed Berwyn from the companions.
So just download a 0.5.6 version and you're good to go.
It's been only two years ago, so it's not like they added anything of value since then.

What's more likely, is that they (Savin and ToBS) were bullying/harrasing Berwyn's writer for whatever reason, ultimately causing them to quit.
There's enough shit to fling around without just making stuff up.

HugsAlright had a lot of mental issues way before he was kicked out of the forum and he left the game development years before any of his internet drama, it's not just Savin and the other writer that he had conflict with he was picking fights with everyone and threatening suicide plus he started making snuff porn stories of his characters.
This guy was making furry smut for a decade in fenoxo forum/games he wasn't some random smut writer for CoC2.

I didn't know about snuff stories, or suicide threats.
But I guess working with Savin for years only made Hugs' mental problems worse.
