I must say as a disabled, parental abuse victim, I do read stuff like Kinu and Rindo as Tobs having a misery boner.

Its dehumanising at times cause he seems to think tragedy and harm like that are things you can use like a spice....Reminds me of abusive, manipulative ex's of mine tbh.

Edit: Sucks that charcters that had such potential are used that way. (I prefer Inari over Hime but both could be handled better. And with Rindo originally the plan for Kinu's sister, it just gets even more creepy.)

Imo I think rindos original concept would have been better, with one of your children being burned in the attack on your home. I don't think it would have had any sexual content but it would have had a personal touch and potential for your character to help them heal mentally as their parent, more platonic emotional support version than the current rindo. It feels weird with the entire location burning and some of the little kids having to go feral to fight off the attackers that there were no consequences, it would have had more emotional impact if it would have ended with something like "many escaped with few wounds, but some have needed medical care, and one of our daughters was burned horribly; please speak with her".

Rindos not awful but her "I snorted the ashes off her neck it was pretty hot" scenes pale in comparison to having a situation where you could interact with one of your kids, it could also have helped kiyoko get more development, like if she was in the party maybe she helps her along with you. Maybe even introduce a new kitsune that loves her as she is and get wholesome sappy matchmaking stuff that gives a opportunity to be involved with making sure your daughters happy instead of having no role or input. Literally anything else other than kinu sue parts 3-6

Overleveling the final boss is a classic trope and that in fact been the premise of many amazing pieces of hentai doujins.

Thank you for this comment as much as I love the anons of this thread I disagree heavily with the opinion Inari is better. I would argue she is worse as she is a giant hypocrite for jumping into marriage just after getting out the orb. As dislikable as Hime Kinu is at least she is more consistent in her ideology and beliefs as bad as they are. Otherwise agree with everything you said.

Regarding a certain author and their hate boner for CoC never forget these lines taken from the wiki.

People be talking about Hime and Inari Kinu and the intricacies of their content while I'm just surprised there are even two of them. The only special event I ever had with her in the realm was that quest when she asks for a quarterstaff or some shit. Guess TOBS wanted me to spend more than 2 months of in-game time with her but that's not really feasible unless you purposefully put off getting them out of the orb. Not sure why I get the "bad-end" Kinu just because he can't pace his content out well. Sorry for not wanting to repeat doing the same shit I did in the orb 50 times already TOBS!

Honestly even if the Kitsunes weren't pieces of trash, I would still hate them. They all act so needlessly polite all the time except for Kohaku, it's really fucking grating. Why does my "wife" feel the need to be so formal around me all the time? TOBS knows Japanese people don't act like that, right? It just makes them all feel fake and sterile as fuck.

Since I like to keep with the theme of each character its super annoying with my straight male to avoid a dick going in his ass or something going in his bum. I agree 1000000% on this, I used to be a patron backer for a while, but after I saw that every single content update was female, female, female, more females to sex up. I gave up backing the game. Hell even the wayfort content, is just a den full of females, cant even get one new male npc added in there so far. That is great and all for the straight men, bi men, and lesbians, but for us gay men or straight women, we get little to no new content at all! & they go and actively remove one of the few males we do have! Its extremely irritating to be honest. Every new update I have zero reason to go back and play any of the new content, I will probably have to sit and wait for over a year before I can get a handful of new scenes to experience with male characters.

I have nothing against all the female content they add to the game, thats what they like and there is a huge following calling for it, but it would be nice to get some equal representation and content for those of us who arent turned on by whats popular or what the majority like, sigh.

Which is funny on many levels, but something that will always make Raphael superior is... (drum roll please)

Raphael isn't to everyone's taste, and the original game respected that. I liked him, up until you get to his "home", but it's satisfying getting to roleplay different reactions to him.

Also, given his introduction in Kinu quest 1, I doubt TOBS just did it because he thought he was creepy. Kinu explodes on him about how he thinks he's clever but he's just pretentious, basically cursing out the writer of the original content. It has some real venom in it. And seeing as he then made Taoth connected with him, it's like he just hates the fox content from the first game. Betting there'll be an Urta analogue in Kinu 3 should it ever get made.

It is sad, even being a straight dude it's easy to see there's plenty of potential for it already, Garret (who's probably going to be shipped off on a bus), kazuo, (kitsune mech maker) Hinata, (kitsune scout you meet in forest and entrance of den), elyon (winter city scout master), boomer (cat boy randomly attached to cait) not counting room for new characters. Story and smut wise they can appeal to each orientation if you write them with both bromance, platonic stuff like brint with a straight male, helping Garret with his quest and mom, and then having sex scenes and them calling you a lover instead of a friend in a separated underlined area. With the amount of cuck content they make they can easily transfer that to being written towards the pc, plenty of male on cait stuff that could easily just be replaced with "female pc did such and such".

They spout it's from Patreon votes and demographics but even besides sexuality there's several male characters that need to be expanded upon, and if tobs and others are really wanting it to be taken more seriously story wise there needs to be more males. berwyns been ""upgraded"" to npc and brint/brienne can be a really hard choice for some people so you're left with quin, who doesn't really seem to be someone that appealing and his content seems a bit mind control threatening/rapey. There's supposedly a male, similar to kiyoko fox husband being worked on by jstar I believe but other than that's it's mostly prostitution type stuff.

I myself would love to see more kazuo and Hinata content, kaz has room for quests helping him improve his puppets and mechs, earning summonable versions of them, he's more educated so he could talk about kitsune lore (yay tobs you get like 13 more paragraphs minimum), and Hinata is one of the most respectable and nice kitsune but is then pushed to being a minor, unseen character. for some reason the only one getting content is takahiro who's going to get a "redeemed drunken master" plotline who rewards you fixing his life with being a side ho. They talk about how nobody wants to write male characters but have no problem writing males as long as they cuck, all they have to friggin do is just write a futa, remove the female parts, add in wholesome or dom flavor, then in sex scenes they can write from the perspective of the male or female, whichever they have more of a interest in. They'd instantly earn more goodwill and fans. They already have niche kinks like swinging, cucking, abuse, incest play, writing a Edward or Jacob ripoff for example would appeal to more than that and make the world feel more immersive.
