I really wish each character had at least a basic version of tank, dps and healer, so there was freedom in choosing whoever you want regardless of what class you are. Sure in games where party members are class locked that's unreasonable but with the kit system it just seems like a waste that you have some characters getting like 4 or 5 dps specs, 2 or 3 healer specs, and occasionally one will get a tank kit. Why would they give characters multiple damage kits with different damage types instead of making sure they could at least do any role? It's not because of lore reasons, cait can randomly pick up a sword and become a master duelist, surely having everyone capable of each role would add in a lot more value than quadruple the number of sub classes to balance.

It just makes me stop feeling bad when they talk about the combat balancer having a lot of work on his plate when theyve just done it to themselves, and that's kinda scattered across the whole game now. Bloat everywhere, choosing multiple characters to have customizable body types but complaining about all the text changes, to the point of requiring a party member to be removed and content finished, people deciding to undertake mammoth projects alone in a poorly lit dark basement with no breaks then complaining it was too much, (imagine my shock), people like tobs being publicly referred to as a salt miner who does things to knowingly, directly piss people, fans and customers off but then cry whenever people talk back, development going from politically neutral pushing back against people upset about pronoun usage or not being enough of a hugbox into etheryn being a complete minefield that saying the wrong thing will now straight up get you threats from the devs

Let's face it. Some of the developers/writers are just agents of chaos. They aren't happy and they're content with that, they get satisfaction from negative feedback. That's why they keep introducing contentious content they can continuously alter to maintain that negative feedback loop.

They've got a good deal here, people pay them to make them unhappy AND make them (the devs) feel like they belong somewhere...

They should really just get a job working at the DMV already.

I do like Quin but to be honest make a complete update only about him after berwyn's death I don't think it was the best idea they should better leave the updates of Quin for when its author had more written content and calmer opinions .................. because the update itself is only a change of armor and that the female companions had a better opinion of him and more for a character whose latest sexual content What was added was licking his ass like a few months ago........... But at least it seems that the author is remembering that he exists.

I had no idea Quin was so hated, I think he is ok, even if a bit annoying.
It's not too shocking honestly, I mean just look at this update, it's mainly just him trying to fuck the girls that the pc recruits with the promise that it WILL happen. Plus, most people really don't like the idea of sharing girls with other dudes and his writer kinda enjoys pissing those types of people off. I can't say I really hate Quinn, but his content doesn't do anything for me, because it's just not meant for me. Hell, he's dead in all my playthroughs, if he brought a hot witch with him like Berwyn, then i'd consider keeping him around. But right now the focus seems to be more on how he develops relationships with your female recruits which does nothing for me.

What are you talking about lol, all of the new dialogue from the other companions is about how they'll never fuck Quinn, and the village scenes are either him getting shit on by the villagers or the completely platonic scene where Ivris schools him on alchemy. Did you actually read anything that was put in?

I think the next event that could really affect peoples opinion on the game is wsans brienne arc in khor minos. Haven't seen anything concrete but the armor transformation stuffs supposed to be explained there, and there's a lot of ways it could change nothing, but theres a greater than 1% chance they could throw in some mumbo jumbo like "oh noes actually she never had free will, she got brainwashed into being obsessed with you, we have to fix it" and make her want to bang everything, or at least combine with brints stuff to basically become relationship wise like azyrran. It would be "mentally exceptional" to do so but with tobs calling her "brints ego death" occassionally, the weird vitriol and jealousy towards the attention she gets from fans, I dunno. I hope I'm wrong but some of the choices they've made recently make my spider sense light up.
