I don't think they've answered that. But time wise CoC2 starts just at the end of CoC1, with Kas using the distraction of the Hero of Ingram storming Lethice's stronghold to escape through the portal.

tbh first of all just a male companion with the same dedicated attention that multiple fem companions have received. im actually a lesbian so i dont have a problem at all with female characters receiving a lot of content, but i would love to see some variety with more male romances/flings/sex/etc for anyone attracted to men bc tbh i would play the content too, i dont play games to play as myself, i play for the variety. i dont need cocii to turn into an otome or anything but i would love to see equal content bc i tbh think it could only improve the game as a whole. (though with the way the game is going so far it'd need a lot more to wholly improve lol) sorry if this is a pretty general answer my brain is kinda empty.

Honestly even if the Kitsunes weren't pieces of trash, I would still hate them. They all act so needlessly polite all the time except for Kohaku, it's really fucking grating. Why does my "wife" feel the need to be so formal around me all the time? TOBS knows Japanese people don't act like that, right? It just makes them all feel fake and sterile as fuck.

Funnily enough, Japanese people being polite is somewhat of a thing. A bit of a stereotype, but there is truth to it. Thing is, it's much deeper than just "they are just polite", related to MANY parts of it's culture, education and so on and it's a controversial topic to this day. Heck, lately I've been following a bilingual person who has fluent English and Japanese and he partially hates how he becomes more polite when he uses Japanese.

A good writer who actually does their research well would be capable of displaying this side of Japanese Culture and writing interesting characters while accounting for that and using it to strengthen the narrative. Tobs just decided to up the politeness filter and the wordiness filter to 200% and call it a day, result in characters sounding fake and distant.

Also the Mai pregnancy stuff really makes me crave a corruption route for the kitsune den. I know I am forgetting some of the lore but how does Komari get the right to have such a go at Mai when she had grand kids herself. Also Komari was right there when my MC was doing the dirty with Mai and its all our fault. She could have prevented it and they are meant to detect her aura if she craves life essence too much so how does she take no blame?
This made far less sense then the Miko pregnancy but why am I not surprised at this point that a certain writer who writes essays on their own lore but ignores key factors of it when making plot points. Yes Miko walks Komari away because she went too far but someone as 'wise' and old as her should know better. All I feel from this lore wise regardless of the sex is scorn and spite because we the big bad MC 'ruined' the chosen successor.

I know I am late to the party sorry about that but it was bothering me too much to say nothing. Also I know I am preaching to the choir too however for someone who writes walls of text of lore for the kitsune I just find it funny he makes such obvious careless contradictions.

I was mostly asking since I want to see what general BL audience wants to see from this game that is in reach of my capabilities as a community writer. For I am currently in process of submitting my second male submission and working up on 2 male NPCs. After that, I am basically free to write whatever, though I would like to work on either June expansion (if I am were to be allowed) or on this sexy fuck.

Also as for mlm content i say that coc 2 defeintley needs some more submissive and very breedable men. Considering this is a savin game and theres plenty of dickgirls and random buff jocky types that'll either rape you or your companions into the dirt i say we should fix that by adding in more softer guys and get a good balance in.

Oh I know that they're more polite than western culture, but like you said it's played up to a ridiculously unrealistic degree. Japanese housewives don't sound like Kiyoko even in the slightest lmao. It's so shitty because if TOBS actually had any idea of what he was doing, he could've done the whole culture gap thing pretty well and make it endearing(even though I think it still wouldn't fit the rest of the game). Even something as simple as taking your shoes off when you enter someone's house could've been played up for laughs. Something like: "You people really take yours shoes off inside a person's home? But then how do you keep your feet clean? Like yeah sure you track less dirt around the house but you'd still probably have to clean it just as much to make sure your feet don't look like pieces of charcoal when you walk around."

Have the PC actually banter about these things with the Kitsune rather than taking them uber seriously in your porn game. Or Christ, take it seriously, but actually let the Champ voice their issues and do something about it like a normal person would when it comes to raising their fucking child. But no let's make Kinu bratty and bitchy to her father because that's totally what the norm is in Japan! Christ at least make this shit subtle, dude. Japanese people aren't outwardly prickly like this(or at least to this insane degree).

None of this shit even works in the first place because THEY are the foreigners in this case. They have literally 0 fucking reason to act so pompous. It's so fucking weird, man. Kitsune content feels like it's written by someone who hates Japanese culture but at the same time fetishizes it all while knowing only an extremely surface level view of it.

I would say I want to know TOBS thought process is, but we already know what it is. He's just not talented enough to bring it to fruition without severely fucking it up.

Which is funny on many levels, but something that will always make Raphael superior

The sad thing is I always liked Raphael. Not in a "he's so cool" kind of way, but the fact that he was a dark parody of a Robin Hood Type kind of way. The only real problem with him (iirc) was the rapier skill being locked behind him, but bow skill was locked behind Kelt and he's far worse than Raphael could ever dream of being. Like you said, you have every opportunity to shut the mf down, or even sabotage him. With Kelt, you either stop visiting, get bad ended, or go "corrupt" and make him a female.

Doesn't he die at the end of the Dawnsword quest? I mean I'm all for having an actually corrupt love-interest that isn't just another horse-cock wielding futa's of the Kas light template. But your chances of being allowed to tamper with the "creative vision" of a pre-existing scene seems pretty low.

Side note, anyone else surprised they went with making Viv the Berwyn replacement when there's still that half-gnoll in the temple we've been waiting on for a year or so at this point?
