I dont think so, no. Tho I can see where the confusion is comin from as the sprite has them lookin like dogs with their quadrupedal posture, but the codex says they are corrupted dogmorphs who are anthro bipeds, who can move like normal or dogs/gorillas on their hands n feet.

I think all the characters who are supposed to be awesome end up being useless is because the entire game exists to make Kas look super cool and amazing and smart, otherwise she logically would've been smacked down by a whole bunch of people by now. The only way the game makes any sense is if she's the protagonist, everything revolves around her and what she's doing. Tollus basically exists to serve as the late game antagonist who betrays her to take over the world once she gets a soul again and is redeemed, because of course she will be.

That's another thing, despite how much I love fox girls, you're basically allowing an invasive species to propagate and expand feeding off of the local populace. And the way Tobs writes them they're practically unstoppable at some point with one of the bad ends. They have no natural predator really outside of the demons, so you have to wonder how much damage those sexual vampires could have caused if there wasn't an invasion keeping them locked up in the tree fort.

Iirc, it's been established that they're the cause of the local Wyld tree and its druids dying off.
Evergreen seems to keep them at bay, at least through mercenaries and trickery (and Evergreen is from those places too, so, Whore-kong vs Slutzilla, with the only thing keeping you safe being the cold), yet, those kitsunes you find there are mostly the people the other kitsunes got rid off. For this race alone my eyes kind of glaze over. I'd normally include the Kitsune too in the original statement. And I'm sure they've probably always been this way too. But, my mind can't handle thinking too much about Tobs.
And the answer, unless Savin writes chaotic demon factions into existence, is no.
The mushroom dungeon writes a new reason into existence. Ignore all the previous foreshadowing, it was actually corrupt wyld trees that were killing the old wyld gods.
