My abilites are pretty similar but I'm rocking more of a leadership tank(str,tough,presence) that does respectable dmg.

You know I actually forgot why I dropped this game originally, but I've been quickly reminded by the trans girl kitsune ironically. It's that for as many issues as there are, my personal biggest is that it feels like it was written by chasers who are being performative allies specifically towards trans women. Dunno if that's heavy to bring up since I've only posted here a few times and am not too familiar with the rules but just wanted to vent about that. That and the fact that they added that damn dungeon finally but we can't throw the mercs in it.

Honestly, I imagine that Savco will throw in the cheapest fuckers imaginable soon to counteract that. Power fantasy and all that.

Next area will have twice as many poorly balanced horde fights on every tile this time and they'll all be above the level cap but it's ok cause it will be used to introduce a new OC who could solve everything but won't for some reason.

Of course you can't. They're old outdated content with even older "plans" that will never see daylight because:
a) Their author quit due to more internal drama
b) New half-baked content being introduced burying them deeper down the "Priority list"
c) Likely nobody wanting to touch said buried content due to drama and them not being their personal OCs/pet project
d) The project lead isn't competent enough to direct attention or effort their way and get rid of the unfinished content backlog instead of introducing more horsecock dickgirls to tear your ass apart

I think I was just irrationally mad at the fact that there was no 'ignore' option and it locks you into helping him out where almost every other encounter has an option to opt out. It would have been more "on brand" to have an option to leave him stuck there raising your corruption, but we all know at this point that they don't care about that mechanic and only stuck it on to bait in old fans.

Maybe when the game finishes in decade the patch to remove bubblelord stuff can be made. Could call it bubblepopper or something equally cringe.

I'm not saying we can't have serious moment or characters in these games. But where I myself get flumoxxed is when we're introducing scenarios and stakes that break the immersion of this universe. This is a universe where body modification is so cheap and ubiqoutious, you can purchase a new set of genitals in a vending machine the same as you would a soda, would a modern day allegory for a trans person make sense?

Embry really reminds me a lot about CoC II in how she's written. A mouthpiece for the author. It's like how Skow writes lesbians as perfect wholesome purehearted chungus relationships that incorporate modern day lingo like "Sapphic". Embry is a wooby for you to white knight over.

Embry is still better in comparison given the fact you have options with her. You can outright reject her, or ignore her, or keep her platonic. But the fact she was basically drawn up to be a mouthpiece.... I'm neither trans nor do I know any trans people, but it just feels kind of gross, you know?

BDSM sex dungeon in a sex game is pretty on brand though. Personally I believe the dungeon has a lot more potential which isn't being utilized. One of the many missing links from CoC1 which could possibly bridge the gap is the return of slave NPCs. It's already kinda soft implemented post dracia but this is a huge opportunity to actually implement something utilizing corruption in one way or another that circumvents their excuse of having to write multiple versions of multiple scenes.

Speaking as a trans person who loves story telling, you're absolutely right it makes no sense. The established settings in both are about how easy it is to change body parts like a Gundam kit but they're making species that break that rule to make a 1 to 1 commentary on a modern struggle, which might not be bad in the hands of competent writer. Allegories exist for a reason though, it's why I had to read animal farm. I'd be understanding about it as representation at least if it wasn't so weird in both games and felt so fetishistic when put alongside all the futa characters as if futa is a gateway drug to huffing estrogen.

Feels less like a game and more like therapy for people to use self insert Mary Sue's to work through some stuff but with an audience at this point. I'm still stunned they even added the ability to not get world star'd by a guy who fights and talks like a middle school tough guy.

Aren't the good mods like super expensive in universe? In that case it would make sense that a waitress would struggle to get them. Remember you can become a sex slave like Rhea, the maid on the 2nd planet and possibly Sera in this universe if you get too deep in debt.

Personally I found the game much more interesting when Jim was around because the team actually tried to tackle deeper topics. Once he left and everything just turned into mindless sex the game got boring.
