I personally can’t wait till they make 1 more post at the end of the month that slightly advances the main quest (one added flavor text scene about npcs favorite positions) and then make two posts in October that involve one off scenes of forgotten npcs and say they’ve updated the main quest very recently

It is also a point where I started to wonder if Tobs just doesn't like writing preg consequences from the side of Champ being the mother, what with Garret having one reaction where he's worried his dad will kill him etc. and then you don't see a hint of him be it during birth or after. Been a while since I played though so no idea if anything changed.

To be fair to the writers, it's somewhat blatant that you're expected to pick her up as soon as the game starts,

In my defense, before I just ran it solo, my ADHD brain kicked in and I just kept forgetting to recruit her.

There was a certain game on the ps3(or was it the ps4?). The story took itself super seriously (no action game in which a single button press leads to a 5 hit combo should) but just something about the character design for one of the antagonists made it hard to concentrate on the melodrama through the fog of light-headedness

I think that's the Valkyria Chronicles spin-off game everyone hated. I can't believe they made a knock-off Selvaria Bles instead of just adding her in with no explanation like every other game in the series has.

One of my closest friends has Hirrud as her favorite character, so I was actually planning on writing an expac for him a few years back, but it was promptly vetoed by Savin before I could even get started on it proper. Hirrud isn't really meant to be anything more than a gag character, so outside of Haddi, don't expect him to get anything.

Hired Gun was too strong. Savin knew what he had unleashed and had to stop it before he returned more powerful than ever.

Regarding Cait and the temple, I never build it since her other path is helping her convert to follow Nareva in Tychris, which should be in sometime next year.

Cait's only options are femboy pimp cult and goth mommy nerd cult. The duality of man is truly fascinating.

It was simply a rebuttal to the idea that the game's current subscribers are primarily forgetful subbers and a tacit reminder that a person's own perception is not absolute. Anyways I thought Hidda was fine. The scenes were well written and this is the first NPC in the entire game I think that you can transform against their will, so good job Gardeford. I didn't even find the usual nitpicks I like to needle at with bold bleeds, italics, accidental noncoded parsers, etc.

Man I don't know, feels like an afterthought, like, at some point her sluterry became far too ridiculous and in a weak attempt to try and correct the caricature she is they made up this "normal" Cait path, an eternal promise to give her the romantic edge she doesn't have, only that you have to go for 2/3 of the game to reach it and ain't even there yet

Well, this is mildly annoying, if anything. I think it would have been nice to explore the "gag character" more. We all love a good redemption arc, or even as a villain. Certainly would have had the motive instead of the cardboard-cutout cultists absolutely no one cares about.
Am I surprised? Not at all. I just fail to understand the justification considering there's someone who wants to work on a somewhat iconic character rather than introduce another half-baked character that's just gonna be tossed to the back of the pile anyway.
The average observer might just assume it's Savin being petty over Hirrud being liked by part of the community.

If any of this were in my hands turning Cait into her turboslut version would eventually lock her in the temple and remove her as a companion in order to really nail the point that now, Cait is utterly and completely a devote to Mallach, and therefore, no longer a viable romantic interest in any meaningful way (let her have a slut marriage and orgy or whatever for the people who want to enjoy a more depraved experience, with rental womb and all)

I would want for that to be spiritual ntr that only her other path could heal, a path that would exploit those bits where she's good and selfless because that's part of her personality, something that could only happen because she went away from her homeland and now things are different, something that doesn't really happen in the game (3/4 into the history, still nothing hinting to reformed Cait)

Obviously I am not disputing your opinion. I can't really agree with the B statement, though. I mean, B did write Zo, and despite her simple style, her interactions and relationship building are unique, as are her scenes and the skills you can learn. I feel the same about Lyric (girl Lyric for me, so always feminine). She's a unique companion you can bring along (I don't use her in combat), and even overlooking the male side for me, I know the kind of work that goes into having to write a scene and always having to do a [lyric.heShe] or [lyric.hisHer] check for every pronoun. Then there's the feeding electrum for fun and filling her out to please, and her interactions with other kobolds. And then Kailani... I can't hate Kailani! It might be mostly due to Moira's artwork, but damn, she rival's Zo unclothed bust in Wow factor (for me, at least. Obviously I don't have to persuade anyone else)! He did up a unique language and style for her (mostly just some native words and such, but still), so I can't agree that it's an empty shell.

Just sharing my thoughts on that part. Not telling you how you need to feel.

You don't need to worry about me taking your disagreement with my statement wrong. I'm more than willing to entertain disagreement, especially since you're coming at me with full sincereity. Everything posted here, is, naturally, opinion for the most part, so everyone will have alternative takes.

I will just concede that my statement was a bit more of a shallow blanket statement than how it should have been phrased. Yes, B does experiment with his writing too. I mean, Lyric alone is very experimental and there's nothing else like her in the game. Oma too, is also quite unique with her mechanics if a little shallow everywhere else. And I don't doubt that he doesn't put effort in writing. As the writers who have come here have shown, even writing a minor scene is an exercise in and of itself given the parser system.

I suppose my main faults with B's works is, the execution. I will freely admit, I did not touch Zo's content other than a quick playthrough given how I personally wasn't attracted to her bust. I know that alone had a decent amount of content though, with a training and relationship building arc.

Kailani, for me, was boring. Her quest is very quick to complete mostly relying on RNG to pad it out when you have to take out 20 vulperine hunters. There was no time for us to really sort of get know her on a deeper level. I get that the it's not the intention for us to speedrun through her quest. We're suppose to meet her, start it, and then slowly chip away at it while visiting her and Inaya to learn about them. Even so, it's in the style of "click this button to learn about Kailani's religon, click this button to learn about her family, click this button to...etc" which thankfully, all the writers are starting to move away from that sort of lore drop, but it still does nothing to help Kailani in this regard.

Then there's Berwynquest, which has been talked to death here and I've given my take on it already. And Agni, who I also have talked about and made clear how I dislike her.

One recent character of B that I actually really love is Ivaze, the female imp that can show up at the Frost Hound. I seriously love her. She's a character that doesn't use words, so B really brought his A game when it came to writing the interactions between her and the Champ. I won't mince my praise I have for B for delivering us an actual S tier shortstack, and from a race that typically isn't written more than cannon fodder, in a game that's really starved for more.

If I were a kind man. A generous man. I would give some leeway. That this was always the plan. A true miracle story of redemption and true love! Turn one of the biggest whores in this game into a housewife. After miles of dick and rivers worth of cum. She realizes that all she ever really needed was the champ. Because they have always been there for her and never abandoned her in the inn to never to be seen again, until she forces herself on you against your will in certain scenes anyway.... but I ain't neither one of them things!
