At first alot of it was passive while doing other things due to way too much ADHD (after all it is not a fast paced game, it is literally all reading), and it was several restarts and changing my character probably like 4 times, and plus once more time after that when I was way further into the game. But yeah, it was the same as like when I was playing Baldur's Gate 3, in between working the last couple of days, and going to to bed at like 2 each night, before going back at to work at 7 the next morning. The hyperbole wouldn't be in hours because that was documented and I can't change it. I don't remember specifically what day it was, time all seems relative and malleable anyway (at least while the world is burning down around us) but it felt like just a few days, so maybe over 5 days but 12 hours would be a conservative estimates. And as the story became more engaging more time was spent directly focusing on reading it, just like I would a book that was interesting to me. Also unhealthy obsession is kinda how ADHD works anyway with the whole hyper focus on whatever is has caught my interest, so that's simply par for the course for me. I wasn't skipping all the scenes, it would kinda just go in phases. This is especially true when I wanted to get to the next story beat.70 hours in half a week? Considering that 3 days is 72 hours, that's literally playing a porn game 24/7 without sleeping or eating.
Even if we assume "half" to be an exaggeration and count it as a full week, it's still almost 12 hours per day doing nothing but playing a single porn game.
What the actual fuck.
There's no way in 9 hells main plot is that long, especially if you skip the sex scenes. Does bro actually just reads TOBS' novels over and over in circles???
Edit: Anyways. I recommend you to turn off the computer, and go have some healthy sleep. This kind of obssession is super unhealthy.
But even taking into consideration all of the above the main points about the appealing nature of a community driven and sustained storyline and narrative that has nuanced villains, characters, and gods is still an intriguing and enjoyable experience that I would also like to find elsewhere and more often. The dream stuff is a pretty cool feature that adds another dimension on top of an already engaging narrative. Building up the world around you to support your companions and friends thus adding onto your value as a friend yourself. And then telling you who created each section of the story by telling you the scenario's author giving those people a sense of ownership and recognition that is almost never recognized. Also it is sorta funny how pissed off people get when you don't want to rape them after a fight, treating the battles more as foreplay than combat.
Idk, it just has a lot of concepts and dynamics with thoughtful and, more often than not ,meaningful curation of ideas, scenarios, and relationships it is just something that I would like to see more of and once I actually got passed the setup at the beginning and the story started to flesh out I was pleasantly surprised by how engaging it all was.
