Fen was making things up as he went along, making bad code, having poor quality control on what gets in, and even forgot his own lore. I think Urta is horrendous. And he leaned hard into the demands of donations and truly appalling furry OCs. As Fenoxo improved at his craft, he sunk into an echochamber that stunted things and pushed him in hazardous directions.
Maybe if anything was where it all went to shit, it was when he ignored massive votes for a new piece of content to, instead, make Urta's Fertility Quest.

Eh, people will always find a way to mod no matter how difficult it's made just like people always find a way to pirate. For example, the modding thing in FFXIV that Lucky_I brought up got replacements in about a month and there's 2 big ones that people are split between right now. It'll be fine even if it's not in the very short term. Would be pretty funny if they got assblasted enough to do something about it though lmao.
