I'm actually surprised to hear savin hates preg content given there's a whole month dedicated to only putting out pregnancy related content. Though maybe it's more proof he prioritizes the money over all else. Every CoC2 update and the more I learn about savin makes me more worried for TiTS.
Yeah, Savin's made it clear multiple times he dislikes pregnancy. He also dislikes shortstacks too, which is why we haven't got Goblin women despite the fact he's fine approving futa Goblins. Real subtle there, Savin. He's into sluts, anal, futa, and cucking. Though IIRC it's more into netorase and sharing territory than full on NTR.
Why does he have a month dedicated to it? Well, because despite all the annoyance it probably causes him, it is the most popular fetish in the game. I bet he's really kicking himself for letting Tobs make Kiyoko, because she was the catalyst for it. Then again, consider how lackluster the past few Mayternaty's have been. It's just false advertising to get schmucks to sub to their patreon.
I think we ignored the warning signs when Alypia became the writer for Etheryn and commissioned NSFW arts of Ryn with her OC.
Thank fuck someone else said it too. That was so weird how she showed up and did all that and everyone thought it was sweet.
I knew right from the get go. When they removed the fact that Ryn was a trap and made the Frost Elves a third gender. And when they started hugboxing Ryn hard by hyping up how bad Alissa was. I knew that we had shifted away from Ryn's original point of being a subby femboy you could either bully or comfort.
I get to everyone here, the idea that people would serious ship porn game characters and write slashfics about them seems really odd. Let's consider the sort of community that's grown around this game. The original people who played this game checked out a long time ago. The ones who wanted to actually RP a Champion like the first CoC. The ones who wanted basic player agency you'd expect from a text based RPG.
When we look at the updates for the past few years, fuck, I want to say Winter City but it might even be earlier than that. You can tell this game had a shift in the way it was being written. Early CoC II had it's moments. It felt way more open with way more potential. Yeah, the saltmining and railroading was in the works, but the first few years or so it wasn't noticable.
Now bakc to my point, who does CoC II appeal to now? Certainly not anyone interested in their character being little more than a living camera for us to view the world. Or at the very least, just another faceless OC among a sea of other nobodies. To paraphrase the Incredibles, "When everyone's an OC, no one will be". It now attracts the fanfiction crowd, the shippers. The people who will gladly sit and read 20+ pages of Azyrran and Liaden going on a date because it's so UwU kawaii.
That is the audience of CoC II now.
