Tobs is fueled by spite, he was spite writing before anyone complained, just look at his rabbit garbage from FoE. If people stopped complaining he would see that as a challenge and spite harder to bring the complaints back.

Honestly, afaik a lot of people are really prone to do egosearching (because looking info about themselves on the internet) and I really doubt that CoC2 is exception - heck, they probably read this place because they can read some of the more... emotional and unreasonable hate posts and convince themselves that all of their haters are like that.
Then again, I still have no clue on how to measure the public view of CoC2. Here it's disliked, on Forums it's adored, afaik, not sure about 4chan or other big communities. I don't know if people here are minority who dislikes the game or not. Plus, it's important to remember that people in general are waaay more prone to complain than to praise - I doubt a person who has a great time with CoC2 will come here to praise it... but if they had an awful time, then... well it's only a matter of time before they leave a complaint post.

No clue who wrote the bad ends in the new dungeon. But, (sad) broken husk with no associated post reveal sex scene at all is like least sexy thing ever. Guaranteed to drive the average person frigid, it also ranks up pretty poorly in comparison to all the other bad ends in the game. No wonder bad ends got voted so low in the poll.I wish Tobs got the boot too, but he practically co-owns it now
That aside, Tobs hasn't done anything bad in like the last year or two besides crit more with wall of texts.
There hasn't been more bad father spite projects and the kitsune den remains the containment chamber it was always meant to be. Maybe Kiyoko is sort of falling off as a companion.
I'm not sure how large questlines are written but, in their associated slices of content, Tobs and SKoW seem to be like the only people who are willing to give all characters (not Quint) voices. Even if what SkoW did this to was the unsexy awful nonsense that is Gweyr quest.
But Savin, despite being the most experienced has the last like three major quests with a nearly entirely mute Kiyoko, Atugia, and Quint. Does Dragon Azzyran have anything to say on Dracia? Why is that?
'hate' is a bit of an exaggeration on both sides I'd wager. (Although with how consumer loyalty works these days...)
Maybe SKoW's wayfort maids are the only things I think unreasonably suck. Everything else is a difference of opinions.
I could explain how this game sucks as a sequel till I'm blue in the face, but it's a rather successful porn game so none of that matters to it's new audience.

A few years ago you'd have people going to bat for the game in general. Not so much now.
4chan had a general that slowly died as the quality of the game declined and TiTS went on conversion hiatus and they ran out of things positive to say so every thread was just a negative feedback loop as they circled the drain.
The twitter footprint is nonexistent at this point and is just the discord community + a dozen or so artists retweeting their commissions/fan art.
A quaint very old small forum I visit went from positive to dismissive over the course of 2 years.
Most of the communities for other text based games both here, on steam, and discord range from neutral and apathetic to hostile and dismissive. While discussion occurs in the most sterile phlegmatic method imaginable, usually revolving around the "can't compare" and "offers something different" non-committals before the conversation fizzles out.
Generally it's not a good idea to gauge a games quality by ever directing with any of it's 'main' communities.
Babylon's Fall, massive flop that it was, had an extremely positive 'main' community on reddit, discord, and the steam forums. So does Forspoken now that I think on it. I owned both. (Please, save your jester emoji's for somebody more deserving.)
Nobody is going to go against the grain in an active conversation on most websites due to aggressive dogpiling. This website included.

Yeah, it's actually ironic - the worse the game is, the more positive it's community tends to be, probably because it's a minority that understand their position and does their best to be welcoming towards those are also interested. Meanwhile, some great, popular games have awful communities because they attract many assholes and it becomes a toxic cesspit.

Can I get a dbz recap, I remember Helia's Granddaughter who existence made it canonical that Coc1 champ went corrupt and tried to groom her. Are the rabbits when he pulled a "But thou must," and put like 5 resolutions that get shot down immediately for no reason but to give the illusion of choice
The way TOBS writes the champ is word salad cringe, like he writes out this overly long scenes that are there to meet word count quotas not be good.
